Officially Ann's last collection, but apparently mostly designed by her design team. It's gorgeous

you can see those subtle differences in the technique but it still maintains every morsel of ann's aesthetic and philosophy very prominently. i think the team did a great job putting this together. i wish them luck as they continue moving forward. the great thing for me as a fan,is that these are people that are closely connected to ann so i don't think they will drastically change very much. patrick van ommeslaeghe is actually a great designer in his own right and sebastien meunier has already done a fab job with the menswear for several years now.

^I agree. I was actually starting to panic at the thought of this being "her" last collection (in a "I need a disgustingly well-paid job now so I can fly to Antwerp and buy every last original Ann D piece at her store ASAP!" kind of way  ) Knowing that her design team has had a huge influence on previous collections and the transition is going very smoothly has me being much more relaxed about her retirement. I adore Ann and it's sad to see her go, but I have no doubt her label is in good hands and I will continue to love just about everything they put out

As for this collection, I especially like the low necklines in some pieces and find the long dresses to be utterly beautiful. I miss the leather and I'm not super keen on the few menswear pieces, but overall I like this a lot.

I think, just like with Jil Sander, the team did just about as good of a job as they could do transitioning. Unlike over at Jil Sander, I agree with Scott, I think they will be able to come together on their own and put together some nice collections going forward, they all have quite impressive backgrounds and connections to Ann. I'm not going to sugarcoat this season though, this was dull to me -- structurally it's not a mess though, which is hugely important.

Truly stunning! It's incredible how Ann managed to design one wonderful collection after another without losing her signature style and still stayed innovative. Although I'm sad about her leaving, I must say after seeing this collection that I'm sure her design team is talented enough to keep up the same quality and greatness. :)

Strange that the menswear is led by the same person as before-- because, I really really really identify with the designs this time and will be seeking them out in the shops. The last time I identified with the Ann Demeulemeester man was back in the mid-90s when it was more inspired by a tight, slick Nick Cave figure rather than the droopy, stringy Johnny Depp one of recent collections. I'm looking forward to the return of the darkly masculine, but still new gentleman at Ann Demeulemeester.

As for the women's, it's still unmistakably Ann, just more practical and more in tune with how the customers will be wearing it in real life, stripped off its artisanal ornamentations and performance-art hair designs.

Ann's legacy looks to be in great hands. Much respect to her team.

This being the perfection as it's best.....and the last collection of Ann's. Quite worried and sad.:(

Best collection so far!

I like the gold touch but a very strip down which is understandable. Perhaps next season they will be slightly more bold!

Absolutely incredible! One of the best of the season.

(This technically isn't Ann's last collection. It was designed entirely by the team)

yeah it is a bit more pared down…reminds me a bit like her more classic ranges 'grise' and 'blanche' collections but done up just a tad more.

same here... it's boring. but it is recognizably Ann, which is important.

It's not refreshing as I thought it would be but still the quality is remain. Menswear is superb I like most every looks that presented.

it's beautiful as always, I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief, the collection's in safe hands
