Gawd , even they can't get out of the CDG mold ..... It's been like this for ever ....

Its a little troubling to find out this was her team. I love this collection and would probably wear most of it, but I felt the collection was a little uninspiring (I really can't find the word to describe). I see a lot of emerging new talent, a lot of which have designed very similar to what I see here. This collection felt a bit safe, maybe even a bit commercial......for Ann Demeulemeester

but you can understand why they went into this with restraint…to be their debut they had to tread lightly to start with but hopefully we'll see them start to explore a bit more as the seasons come along. patrick is a fine designer in his own right and understands fluidity probably better than anybody other than ann herself and haider. he and the others will do it justice just give it time. and there is a lot of emerging talent i agree but we've seen a lot emerging talent(ie MMM) take roles at houses and it looks like an absolute monstrosity. these are the designers ann chose and entrusted to take her beloved label to the next chapter,i think it's best we respect it.

^ I am hopeful; yes, I can see the restraint, but I can see the respect of the team for Ann's legacy too, and that's important. I'd love to own lots of these clothes!

while I don't agree with you on the MMM comment, I understand what you are saying about the collection. I didn't even see if from that angle.
