Anna Nocon: Welcome and please start asking your questions.
Q: Are the clothes you're wearing right now the IT clothes of the moment?
AN: I'm not a walking advertisement, I found it in a New Yourk shop.
Q: It was written about you that you are a "Polish topmodel-cameleon". WHat do you think that means?
AN: You can say that I am such a cameleon. Looking at my pictures it's hard to recognize me. In the pictures I undergo a transformation. I can be a vamp or some strange creature. I'm often stylized as a younger person. Styling, make-up bring massive changes in appearance.
Q: Is the world of fashion, models and catwalks really as magic as it is thought to be?
AN: It depends on what you mean by magic. It's not such a great fairytale. Still, there aren't really many professions that make you live crazily out of a suitcase. I travel around the world. From January I haven't been in one place for more than 3 weeks. I come back home, a telephone rings, I pack up and go to Barcelona, for instance. There are also periods when I just stay in Paris, but on the whole, it is a life out of a suitcase.
Q: If that is not a secret, what are your measurements? Or is that a secret?
AN: I'm 1,78 meter tall.
Q: What does it mean that a model needs to have an original face with the 'x' factor? It's the first time I came across such a term. What is the 'x' factor?
AN: The 'x' factor is hard to define but it is related to being a cameleon. There may be sexy girls with 'sex' written on their faces and it would be hard to make them look scary, goth, dark. So the 'x' factor is a bit about having a bent for acting.
Q: What does one need to know to become a model?
AN: You need education... You need to finish your school. I passed by A-level exams and got admitted at a university. Without that it's really hard. It's hard for girls who have no education and live out of modelling. I speak English and German. So that's basically it.
Q: Is career in modelling connected with some sacrifices?
AN: Oh, yes. It's all about waiting, stress, etc. Constant waiting. Sometimes it's a big slapstick comedy.
Q: Any funny stories?
AN: It's hard to say, they sometimes happen. For instance during fashion weeks - crazy times, Paris and so on. During such weeks hundreds of models stay in town. When all of them want to move from one place to another, in full make-up and 'strange; clothes... it can be funny.
Q: Do you follow some diet?
AN: Healthy eating and active lifestyle are most important. I eat many things - I'm a vegetarian. Natural, fresh products. Beer is out of question.
