^^not at all strange!! not only are many american fashion labels looking at china to do big business, but more interestingly some Chinese designers are becoming more and more relevant (there's a nice feature on that on the Business of Fashion. it's worth a read).

i'm sure Anna wants to expand her power to China next, so the country's premier is the man she should talk to B)

I've heard her name bandied about for years, but never paid any attention to her until I joined here. Going through this thread, I'm surprised by how relaxed, laidback, understated her style seems to be, but still how incredibly chic. She's like a modern day Grace Kelly!

I've always wondered if Anna buys her Chanel HC. Of course it is great press for Chanel, but don't you think she'd pay at least part of it. With a rumored 200k clothing allowance, and an even higher wage, it seems almost insensible to get freebies from an industry that (regardless of what karl and the wertheimer's say) is struggling to survive.
Plus she has so many!! Before she used to switch from Dior to Chanel, but in the past few years it's been a staple in every important event. It also used to be one dress every season, now it is more!


(which reminds me of... Chanel show coming up tuesday! we should be able to pick one as the dress she'll wear at the MET!)
