Architectural Headpieces S/S 08

I don't like the Ralph Lauren ones they are a bit boring.

you can definitely see Isabella's influence in a lot of these hats, not just the McQueen ones.

I love this.. although it does take quite a nerve to wear eccentric hats in such a natural way. The MJ pumpkin, though, is hard to resist, I'd probably try that.. maybe not on top.. but somewhere around my head. :p

thanks for the thread, Kim!, so nice to see you back with your sharp eye for trends!.

Not quite architectural but I love the Nina Ricci's pieces anyway:p

^me too.. that beetle is to die for.. :crush:
gorgeous additions, kiddo, I love the simplicity and elegance of Nicoll's hats.. there's something slightly Chalayan about them, isn't it?.

I want most of them :(
It's interesting to see that there's also been a resurgence of fascinators and pill box hats in the hight street.

Those swirling painted circles are fantastic.

Interesting that Lacroix and B&B were thinking the same thing this season.

I wish more women wore headpieces her in the US. It's very chic, it gives an outfit a lot of personality.

I agree very much ^_^ It's such an amazing and fabulous accessory. My fav was def McQueen's interpretation but I love so many of them. I hope we keep seeing these headpieces for a while and also that they'll have an influence on the common woman... maybe they'll become less apprehensive toward elaborate headpieces.

I'm really liking the Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier, Gareth Pugh, Proenza Schouler designs. Now if this was to catch on in the US/off the runway, I'd be even more inspired to design my own.
