Because Arctic Monkeys are only returning to the studio in 2013, I think this may mean a second TLSP record? If so, I'm so excited! And I can't wait for this Don Valley DVD!
Ha, that's definitely a wtf? video. I'm not sure I really get their new American fascination or the image they're experimenting with, but they're definitely going for something. I think it's all a bit of a joke for them.
Does anyone know why they are skipping NY the second round of tours? They just announced new tour dates on the east coast and they're hitting everywhere except the place that has their biggest American fanbase. As much fun as it can be, I don't really want to go to Philly or Baltimore to see them again.... though I will probably haha.
Just got home from the show; the whole band was fabulous, splenderious, actually. Especially Alex - his voice is amazing.
Drummer= heart
Singer= soul
Guitarists= lungs
One great rock n roll body the Monkeys are. Hurray!
Well, sort of, every couple of weeks I think about how long it is and then get really excited. The last time I saw a really good band was 2005 when I saw The White Stripes at Glasto, and I prefer AM, so the excitement is overwhelming, haha.
^Your first one? You're really lucky, they get really into their Halloween shows. In fact, they probably give the best live show of any band I've seen, and I've seen then 8 or 9 times, which makes it even more exciting. (Obviously I'm not prejudiced in any way.)
8 or 9?! Woah you're so lucky, jeeez haha. Hopefully this is NOT the first and last time I see them, but the first of many :-) Glad their Halloween shows are good, and hopefully, because it's a UK gig, they'll get even more into it (for obvious reasons).
I found another b-side off SIAS, I think it's of The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala, but I'm not sure. It's called Little Illusion Machine (Wirral Riddler).
The greatly anticipated, highly seeked after AM US Tour 2011 Stars and Stripes t-shirt is now available for pre-order on their website! £20 a t-shirt, £22 including delivery (if you live in the UK) or £22.80 if you want priority delivery.
I saw them last night and thought they were really good but my only wish was that they interacted more with the audience. Have to say, The Vaccines were a dismal opening act as they had absolutely no stage presence and all their songs were repetitive.
