GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS!!!! i was at a versace boutique in switzerland, and they had the couture look book there. the illustrations were stuck to each page right before the picture of the actual garment on a model. the gowns are so beautiful!!!!

the lookbook i saw was at the versace boutique in switzerland. in room with the ready to wear gowns along with a really cute salesman...he he...anyway, the room had a circular sofa and the book was on it. opened and ready to be viewed...and ordered from...i want a couture gown!!! even if i won;t wear it, i still want it!!!!

Is Atelier Versace regarded as Haute Couture or is it not? It is made in Italy, no?

Also, why did Atelier Versace stop showing on the runway?

Atelier Versace is HC and is made in Italy.
At first they stopped showing the HC shows because of financial problems.

Yeah, it is truly Haute Couture because it's recognized as such by the Chambre Syndicale. I'm not 100% sure where the majority of the work is done on the couture pieces, but I would assume a portion of it is done in Paris since that's where all of the specialty ateliers are.

^ I would guess it's hand done, probably with gouache combined with something else. I could be wrong, but the coloring doesn't look like the kind of work you could do with a computer.

it's the most beautiful collection of Atelier Versace i've ever seen
the sketches, colors, cut are f*cking amazing

and it would be great to see those pictures in HQ
