okay...so i got over the pixie cut deisre....and now i want bangs. i have had layers for so long and i think bangs would be cool because they'd grow out eventually. what do you think. i have a high forhead and big eyes.....i dont think i want to cover my eyebrows with them.....any advice? (i did one pic in a phot program in like 3 minutes, so it looks bad, but gives you the idea:lol: )

i would suggest you cut them a little below your eyebrows first, see how you like it, and then if you feel you want to go shorter, have them cut over your eyebrows. its a pain to grow them out and all of my friends who have had them over their eyebrows have hated it and kept it bobbypinned back until they grew out to under/at their eyebrows.

thanks for all the advice!

congrats shugga! bangs are the best ^_^

I am so happy with my very heavy very graphic fringe and mini bob. It is my first proper fringe ever! Plus I to look edgier and different and still have my hair long which makes things easy. It is very very easy to maintain for me.

I'm getting mine cut on Thursday, like I had it when I was younger. I'm still not sure...above my eyebrows, or below/at my eyebrows?

your so cute!^
you should prob cut them just above eyebrows, then smooth and round out on the sides, that way, by fall- september, they will be whispy and just above your eyes in a sexy fall way. :-)

i always like to cut my own bangs because it gives me the power to cut them exactly the way i want them.

I think I may cut my bangs again, I love my long side-swept ones, but I can never get them to look right... I have an appt in an hour & a half, I'llsee what my stylist thinks, but seeing Anne in Devil Wears Prada made me miss my shaggy bangs

yes^
when they are side swept, i feel that it makes round heads, less round. if you were to cut straight across it would make it wider..
side swept and different lengths-short to long will work well.
my bangs are now down to my chin, still not sure what i will do for fall.

very fashionable indeed! but what do you do if it's pixie cut in the spring and long layers for fall? extentions?

now that you mentioned it, i guess i do have seasonal hair! LOL
that is so funny of me!
for some reason, i love changing my hair...i always feel like myself, but everytime i change, it's like i experience a different side to myself. amazing how your outward appearance effects how people react to you...
i prefer bangs of of my face during summer, i let it grow out, so i can think about what i want to do.
i've had long bangs, short bangs, short hair, long hair...
in fall, trendy or not, it's always so sexy to have longish bangs and long layered hair...like when your walking down a ny street, in fall, light wind and leaves blowing around, hot chocolate in one hand, scarf around neck and it's just so free....breezy..
oh....i love ny!

I wanted them this way

But there is no way to get them parted in the middle and looking good.

This was my second option but againt, no way.

odette, you should ask a good stylist. i wnted bangs like those on sienna, there is a way to make the bangs go that way. I am growing out my bangs and was feeling when I parted them, my forehead looked really big, so he cut them so that they are still parting, but land like that picture above.

I have side bangs right now, but they're getting too long, so time for a change! I have a lot of hair that is really thick as well. My hair not wanting to 'lie down' is annoying when I want 'straight' bangs. I have quite a big head, a rather long face and I guess also a big forehead. Any recommendations on what kind of bangs'll fit me best? I like when it all looks kind of art-sy, not too symmetrical (or the opposite, like the girl in the Amélie Poulain movie), but I haven't found a good picture of this yet to show my hairdresser. Can anyone help me?

Hi guys,

I really need some help! I am getting my hair cut next week at COBELLA in London and I was thinking for going for a typical 60s hair-cut, as I always have a mullet and I am getting bored of this hair-cut now. I am too scared to get a 60s bob...so what about a full blunt heavy fringe/bangs, plenty of volume...maybe wavy at the end? I need something that is easy to style, that I can have straight or curly - pleeeeeassssssseee help meeeeeeeeeee!?!?

Here are some face pics so you get an idea what cut will suit me:

Just so you get an idea!

As you have noticed I have always (more or less) had the same mullet-hair style...and I want something different, a bit more 60s cut! I am still undecided about a bob though.
