Headbands have been working pretty well. I don't really have to do anything unless I slept on my hair weird or something. I had blunt bangs and now they're to the length where they are pretty side swept. But there is always one that falls down...

Only a couple more months!

I finally contradicted my own words got long bangs, sort of Brigitte Bardot´s and I´m quite happy, they look quite well and they soften my features. It´s a drag in the mornings because when I don´t wash my hair I gotta deal with my bangs getting curly. I don´t have curly hair but when it´s shorter cowlicks come alive. But anyhow a month or so has passed and I´m not regretting it.
Maybe It´sbecause I realized that I cannot have hort bangs, only longish (nosetip lenght) worn sligthly to the side. I remember Solg encouraging me to ge bangs sometime ago...and finally I got the courage...

I´m gonna try the baby powder trick...any brand in particular?

I have long side swept bangs right now, but I plan on getting shorter bangs similar to Freja's I suppose.

Im growing my bangs out, its down to the tip of my nose but when i had shorter bangs it was a pain trying to style my hair...somedays my hair would look cute and others it looked kind of outdated like i was from the 80's i mean that was how i felt. Im going to grow mine out down to my chin it will be easier for me to style!

^I'm trying to grow mine out to my chin too. It was cut too much at the sides, which transferred into a really awful stage. I couldn't do anything except pin it up with like a million bobby pins. Never again.

Right now, it's at my jawline on the sides and at side-bang length everywhere else (it was cut at a bit of an arch).

Does hair grow about half an inch a month?

^ yes you coul do that, just push em aside, if you need to in the beggining bobby pin them to one side but after a month or less you should be able to sweep them to the side

Late to answer this, but aside from fixing split ends, I don't. I'm too busy trying to get it to grow past my armpits when I hit it with chemicals to make it straight (I'm black).

Ever wonder why so many of us wear weave/extensions? Chemicals and straightening irons are damaging and even though our hair looks tough it's rather fragile especially after a relaxer.

So basically getting it anywhere past shoulder length is long in my neighborhood. And I'm afraid if I cut anything, it won't grow back since I'll continue straightening.

Plus, a lot of people are jealous of my hair.

But I'm thinking about just saying "screw it" and take a risk. People need to stop living their hair dreams through me.

So, from the time of my last post I'm contemplating getting my hair cut short to a bob. But it's so sickeningly trendy right now and that irks me, so I'm thinking about just getting a side-swept bang and continuing to grow my hair and go for a nice soft curly look on the ends later on.

I've been thinking about getting Penelope Cruz type bangs and was wondering if anyone here has them. I have no idea if they have a name and if not I was wondering how I would describe them to my hairdresser. Also I can't think of any other celebrities who have them but if you know of any could you post pictures please. Here's a picture of the style I'm thinking of.

^I'm not expert, but it looks to me like her bangs are what you get when they grew out a bit and are too long to be worn traditionally, therefore, they get pushed to the sides. I could be totally wrong, though.

^ I thought that too originally and it is a very good possibility but she always wears her bangs like that so I assumed she had them cut that way. Attached is a picture of her sister who has them aswell. This is pretty close to how I want mine but maybe a lttle longer on the sides. And now that I think of it I believe Sienna Miller had bangs like these ones when she was dating Jude Law and was in her Boho phase. Just hers weren't as full. Again anyone who has a this style or has any advice is greatly appreciated .

Does anyone else have the problem with their fringe separating through the day? Mine does it and it is so annoying. How do I stop it?

I have the same problem as well & I don't really know what to either. Sometimes I put a very very small amount of pomade on it but it doesn't really do much

this weekend i was looking through teen vogue and this amazing volcom ads and the model's bangs are amazing

*annoyed* I wanted my bangs trimmed at eyebrow length, but instead they were cut half an inch above the eyebrow, and the length gets shorter as it gets to the middle of my forehead, so the shortest length is like an inch and a half so even if I try to clip it back it looks weird because I can't just have a clip smack-dab at the top of my forehead.

It does not look suit me very much. :/ How long until they grow back? I want them to graze my eyes again.
