Best mens leather jacket?

Found this gem at Wasteland in SF last weekend:
The tag read: Vintage Rick Owens, [description redacted], price: $85[!!!]
Possibly the greatest "thrift" store find of all time.

When my girlfriend said to the register girl: "you know, this is like a 2000 dollar jacket," she was completely shocked. hehehe....still so happy about it.

price about.. 89,000 YEN.. which is approx.. $800

US availability = there is a shop in LA, which stocks Lad Musician, however I've heard that they only have a limited selection (few jerseys, some jeans and blazers). Other than that, your chances of finding LM in the US are very slim :D

Gorgeous leather jacket, I'm just  that they don't do anything larger then size 46...

Do you guys like this Cuoio one?

The Cuoio looks good in the pic, though it looks like the leather may be very thin. I do like that interpretation of the Perfecto.

Whaaaat:blink:

Damn Japanese brands hahaha

As for the Cuoio, I think it looks cheap. Also, the sleeves are soooo wide it'll just look like you got it in some harley davidson ripoff store. Basically it looks like a $200 leather jacket. Not well constructed looking at all.

The LM jacket is cut so slim, that it feels like it is an extra layer of skin (or so I've heard..).

It is just sad that no one in Europe stocks it.. :(

Here are some more beautiful leather jackets... :woot:

Doesn't the MMM one look A LOT like the upcoming Cloak F/W 2006 one?

Tsk tsk Alexandre

^ I don't recall anything similar to the Margiela one from the FW06 show...

Do you mean this one from FW05? ^_^

Oops! You're right. That's the one I was getting mixed up... I think I was thinking about this one:

um. Getty images (if the MASSIVE watermark didn't give it away hahaha)

The button-tab front threw my brain off hehehe

hehe...

Oh man I'm in love with the N(N) piece... :woot:

.. Austria is not so far away.. :shifty:

I saw the margiela one in person - meh. It's painted, which is cute, but the leather SUCKS - very rough. Here is a picture from BergdorfGoodman.com (please pardon their ******** styling) - it's $2k.

sorry but horse leather is off the charts for me. I guess because I dont eat them and have befriended many I could never own a jacket that is horse hide. Maybe if it was part of my culture, but since its not I cant justify it for me. I always wonder if the belgium designers use cow or horse or lamb for their leathers.
