kan-i-ta, that dress on darla baker is one on my favourite dresses in ny ss07!

in no particular order my favourites were calvin klein, donna karan, myself and yigal azrouel.
ralph lauren surprised me with his designs (maybe the turbans weren't such a good i dea though...)

I LOVE that Donna Karan floor length grey/silvery gown. i love how fluid it looks and the cut and colour

donna karan for her gorgeous, draping, luxurious and easy dresses. modern and timeless at the same time. they look so comfortable and soft and i loved the colour scheme of the collection:

Phillip Lim, for his use of the exquisite floral embellishments, and presenting a collection in white (well, almost). Horrible menswear though.

Camilla Stærk, I've always loved her work, and I think that she (along with Peter Jensen, Jens Laugesen) is representing Denmark very well on the international fashion scene. The reason I would pick her collection as one of the best is not because I'm biased, but rather because she showed some very interesting shapes and cuts.

Maria Cornejo, because of her silhouette, the draping and the cohesion, which I thought lacked at a lot of shows, it seemed like they were very undecided about which directions to go.

Others I'd like to mention are Yigal Azrouël, who did a wonderful job.. he really caught my interest with this collection, and Narciso Rodriguez, normally I don't like these "celebrity designers", but he really knows how to create a perfect dress.

Oh Lord, I'm AWFUL at narrowing things down, so I decided to separate my faves into categories.

The Good/Unexpected - Designers that I either didn't know about, or wasn't expecting to like.

Rag & Bone
Sabyaschi
Donna Karan
Myself
Narciso Rodriguez
Kai Milla
Zac Posen
Marc by Marc Jacobs

The Girlies - I admit it, I'm a sucker for collections that are white and frothy and pretty and romantic. IMO, these designers did it best, without taking it to a boring/over-the-top level.

Badgley Mischka
Miron Schur
Jovovich-Hawk
Erin Fetherston
Y & Kei

The Crazies - This season was so boring, I'm glad that these designers weren't afraid to be wild, crazy, and yes, even over-the-top.

Jay McCarroll
L.A.M.B.
Betsey Johnson
Anna Sui
Heatherette

The Safes - Nothing new, exciting or spectacular, but good nonetheless.

Michael Kors
Behnaz Sarafpour
Derek Lam
Peter Som
Doo.Ri
Thakoon

Ralph Rucci for sure. One of the few non-boring collections, along with Anna Sui and Donna.
