fake or not, they make a cute couple. I really like the Monte Carlo pictures, in the very last picture he legitimately looks happy with her; which is rare in candid pictures of Leo.

and btw, the reason I said this thread is ridiculous is because it has lost focus of whether or not Blake is dating Leo and has become whether or not Blake is a good enough actress and comparing her to this and that actress. I didn't mean that I don't enjoy speculating in the rumors

I'm really on the fence. I'm definitely convinced that they are "dating", I just don't know if it's staged or not.

On one hand, Blake is just Leo's type.
On the other hand, Leo does have a movie out soon where he plays a homosexual character...

They sure did move fast though. I might be a bit old-fashion, but I always thought you should date someone for a while, get to know them a bit and then go on vacation together rather than go globe-trotting for your first few dates together -- but that's just me and I'm not rich. Maybe these celebs do it a bit differently

MY "OFFICIAL" OPINION

I can see where they'd be attracted to one another initially. On Blake's side, Leo is handsome (I'd call him "handsome" now as opposed to the "pretty" he was earlier in his career), talented, sucessful, smart, and young (yes, he's older than her but it's not like she's got to worry about changing his diapers any time soon!). On his end, Blake is young, pretty, and vivacious.

For me the question is, is that enough to make it last longer than the duration of the average fling? That's what I'm not so sure of. Less than a month ago he ended a long term (5-6 year) relationship. It seems very quick to jump into another one. She also ended a three year relationship though I think that ended like six months ago... Again maybe I'm imposing my personal opinions on this here, but I don't think it's not wise to jump into a new relationship shortly after ending something serious. To top it off they seem to have different goals and personalities. Leo is undeniably a high profile actor and as such is a public figure. I think he realizes that that being in the public eye is part of what allows him a choice of the film roles that he wants to do, and even allows him the power and clout to get films he wants made. For that reason I think he puts up with the media attention on his personal life. But I've never gotten the impression that he enjoys it. With Blake on the other hand I get the impression that she does like being famous and being photographed, getting dressed up, walking red carpets and talking to journalists. I could see that difference becoming a problem as time goes on. My guess is that this is a fling pure and simple.

I could be wrong about all of this: maybe they'll get married and have 5 kids. I'd be surprised but I've been surprised before! Sometimes opposites do attract. She's younger than him but the age difference is no greater than a ton of other Hollywood couples. They're both adults- it's not like Blake's jailbait. Ultimately time will tell.

But celeb flings/relationships are practically notorious for moving fast. And we're also forgetting that these dates are just those that we know of. The rumours say they've been flirting for months, so who knows when their "relationship" really started.

I can see that the picture wasn't posted here, but on ONTD there was a pic where Leo had a rather gay-looking strut. I'm still not sure Leo is gay, but it certainly would be convenient for him to be in a relationship with a hot, young thing when his new movie about Edgar J Hoover comes out. Just saying.

Because normally, Leo does not play the PR game. So either the pics of Blake and him are Leo's way of telling the world that it's real (dating, f*cking, whatever) or his PR team have told him that his image can't look too gay.

advo Perhaps. I think they may have known each other/flirted for a while before hooking up, but I do think that the actual hook up was fairly recent. Again I'm not judging- I'm just saying I don't think moving fast is usually the best idea in the long term. It may be the norm with celebrity relationships but celebrity relationships don't usually have a great track record and why I don't expect this relationship to last long. But like I said, you never know.

The whole thing between them have been so well documented in a very short time. ^^Lostgirl, Whether this relationship is a real or a PR stunt, I do not for even a second believe it's going to be long term at all. There are many more A-lists actors for Blake to hook up with and many more models for Leo.

I know, right? when I saw that pic I was totally surprised as well as I don´t remember seeing him smiling in candids..
we´ll see if those 2 will have just a fling for the summer or if she´ll be the next Giselle, Bar...(not that she´ll become a model) but rather his girl for some time and then be left standing alone...he seems to have a pattern in having a relationship for a couple of years and then breaking it off when it seems to get more "serious" or something

they seem like a totally good looking couple - they could really make an Old-Hollywood-vibe-of-appearance..the All American California Blonde and the Golden Boy...

we´ll see, we´ll see...I think they are having a fling, but not because managers or agents told them but because they find eachother hot... I know that Hollywood likes to "arrange" and create illusions where there is nothing but I think that if actors and actresses hop into bed with eachother it might be arranged but that doesn´t mean like they´re not enjoying it I mean: if you were single and somebody introduced you to a totally hot guy or girl you find great, and fun to be around with...then why the hell not? even if apart from enjoyment you might even gain something out of it workwise...don´t see the big deal.

either Blake is talented or not is not the question...I believe that she has good advisors but also that she has something advisors and press and companies (papers, brands) seem to be attracted to ...there are a lot of blonde young actresses in Hollywood or TV-actresses who would wish to be promoted like she is but she seems the right type momentarily...(well, Mischa Barton was such a paper-darling in her Marissa-O.C.days so we don´t know if Blake will end up like that or differently) ...I only can think of Michelle Williams who was on Dawson´s Creek who made it to become a movie actress not always being remembered for her TV past, well maybe Jennifer Garner as well, although she never made a name as a ´good¨ actress in terms of quality like Michelle Williams or neither as a blockbuster-type like Jennifer Aniston - we´ll see what will happen to Blake and her career as well as what will happen to her and Leo

wait im confused? people are saying jake and taylor setup was to prove jake isn't gay? in any case that was nauseatingly obvious fraud of a relationship. nobody bought it for one second.

and also quick question to @kobro22 ... just curious, how do you know for a fact that leo has ways of keeping things on the DL. in writing my words sound like im doubting you/asking for proof...but just wanna make clear, i agree/believe you...but curious about how you have the inside scoop haha.
