I read the st*r SOLELY to see what america is reading about.
as long as there is a brad/jen thread, I will be providing the inside scoop.

[Hollywood News]: London, Feb 3 : Even though Hollywood's most beautiful couple, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, has split yet the pair seem to be very much in love still. The duo has been spotted together at various places.

According to the Mirror, Brad and Jen were recently seen on a secret dinner date in a posh Los Angeles restaurant.

Still wearing his wedding ring, Ocean's Twelve heartthrob Brad and 35-year-old former Friends star Jen were shown to a secluded booth.

But they made no attempt to hide their obvious affection for one another as they spent the next three hours canoodling over a candle-lit dinner.

"Brad and Jennifer came in giggling and holding hands, they looked totally happy," a source said.

both brad & jen's families have been actively trying to bring them back together.
they did have dinner recently in LA. they are both wearing their wedding rings, which is actually very commonplace for separated couples to do. they are separated but not divorced. I have some new information on this breaking story which i'll be posting soon.

jen is feeling the hurt much more than brad since the separation. she is working hard to change her life so that brad might give her another chance. she has delved into psychotherapy to heal the wounds of her parents nasty divorce. jen is estranged from her mom, a former model, and brad never met her mom. jen's mom has been cruel to her in the past, mocking her 'big greek nose.'
jen suffers from abandonment issues since her parents divorce when she was 9 and only serious therapy now can heal those wounds, and make her more complete for hunky brad. jen has given up smoking, a foul habit both she & brad battled in vain. while brad is a certified matinee idol movie star, jen wants to prove to herself, brad & the world that she has career after "friends." shes been working hard over the last year at several film projects and she wants to show brad that she can jump to the big screen like her sexy better half. [shes currently shooting 'friends with money' in santa monica]

it was brad's motivation that lead to his current separation, it was more his idea. jen has always been jealous of gwynny, the blonder thinner academy award winning actress. ironically, brad's production co. is now producing 'running with scissors' which gwyn will star in. how painful for jen that gwyn is back in brad's life at this delicate moment. needdless to say, gwyn's film success is something that jen envies. while jen & brad have had warm meetings since the split, including a cordial dinner date at LA's L'orangerie on jan. 26., she is the more pained by this split, invoking abandonment issues that were created by her parents nasty divorce. after that jan 26 dinner, jen was seen a few days later with a friend from friends [court cox I think] at another restaurant & jen was in tears, being comforted by her small screen buddy co-star. although both brad & jen still spend the occasional night at their shared hollywood home, brad has was seen jan. 23 buying linens and towels and other homemaking necessities at the frette store on rodeo drive. he was enthusiastic and gung-ho about starting a new home.

golden butterfly quite appropriately started this thread. in case you havent noticed brad n jen is on the cover of st*r, us, intouch & many more mags EVERY WEEK. this is one of the biggest celeb gossip stories in a long long time. I read the st*r to see what america is interested in, via bonnie's agenda setting. as long as this story is covered obsessively in the media, I read about it. I believe that my posts in thsi thread are not just chock full of factual detail of their assignations, but also lend psychological insight into these most attractive & famous stars' motivations. ok so it's not marcel proust but it's just across town.

Yes, I realize it's a big story. But I don't really think that anyone HERE really thinks that it's such a big deal that we have to know every speculative theory there is about the reason(s) why it happened. Like I've said, we could just go out and read it ourselves, if we're all soo keen on getting the info, and can save you the effort of dictating things straight from Star (which clearly most of us don't trust much anyway) only not to be listened to. It's not as if it's illegal to read articles in the bookstore, etc, without paying, etc...

About Gwyneth & Brad... during an interviewe w/Diane Sawyer, Gwyenth said that she was sorry that she hurt him back then and that he had been faithful to her and their problem was that she didn't handle insecurity well.

The Star's story (of Brad & Jen) is so completely different from the current issue of US weekly. On Us' cover: Brad wants Jen back! Brad's friends say he wants to reunite. But how does Jen feel-and can she forgive him?

Brad and Jen broke up and we'll never know why. I know some may trust US, The Star, or People with all thier heart but the fact of the matter is that what they're saying might not be true and it might. Unless it comes out of Brad or Jennifer or Anjolina's mouth on Diane Sawyer or the Today Show I'm not believing it and you shouldn't either. As far as we know they are just another couple getting seperated. This thread is getting a little far-fetched.

actually I am more skeptical of the PR spin that someone like gwynny tells diane sawyer in an interview. that is acting, gwyn has been practiced & prepped by her PR people on how to answer questions. she gives pat, scripted, career-friendly responses. I dont know about diane sawyer but i know that every interview on jay leno, for example, is scripted- the guest has the questions ahead of time & tells the producers what theyre going to say.
gwynny's people will know ahead of time what ABC is going to ask & often certain topics are 'off the record' and not to be discussed.
maybe you believe gwyn's PR spin about brad, but my friend worked with & befriended claire forlani in a movie, and claire told him that she had an affair with brad during meet joe black. that was the devastating blow to brad/gwyn's engagement, and gwyn tried to get back at brad by dating viggo. but it was already too late. that's why she said her trust failed her, jealousy & adultery shattered their love.
Imo the st*r is the most truthful, they dont mind investigating & telling the real truth, they dont mind stepping on the star's toes. If diane sawyer ripped gwyn apart on TV her agents would punish ABC by not booking their stars on 20/20 etc & it would obviously hamper ABC ever talking to gwyn again. to truly understand the veracity of the news presented to you, you have to grasp the larger context vis-a-vis ABC kissing up to agents & stars & the St*r printing the unvarnished truth & photos.
I saw that US claims 'brad wants jen back' but if you read both mags & others this week, the evidence is that jen is much more traumatized by events, it was brads idea to split & jen's psychological issues are undermining her and causing her public & private tears.
they may indeed try to mend fences, their families are trying to effect that. so you see the magazines are actually reporting the real events, you have to use your perception to square what they print. any intelligent reader always does that.

I thought I'd have a look and see what developments there were and whether people had moved on from arguing about certain members taking an active interest in celebs. I had posted some things up saying that I thought Ladygrey must have a really boring life. I completely retract that, I'm really sorry as things like that don't belong on a forum.
When I thought about it, I cannot accuse members of having no life for being interested in celebs. Also, hadn't I just logged onto and read (with interest) the actions of the Jen / Brad / Ang saga?? Pot calling the kettle black, and all that!

here's the latest on brad & jen:
they attended the pre-oscars 'night before' party at the beverly hills hotel- but arrived separately. brad is no longer wearing his ring. they did chat happily at the event. nick lachey & jeesica were there too, another married couple recently having some problems.
they have promised each other not to date anyone else until the divorce is final.
its likely that brad will keep the beverly hills house. he had more input into its decor. the value of the mansion is about $17 million. a new white couch was delivered on feb 17.
taht night brad had dinner with paramount head brad grey at mr chow's. excellent chinese food there btw.
brad's been hanging with pal rande gerber - mr cindy crawford [who had his own history of cheating on his supertstar wife].
jen's been hanging with bff courtney cox.
brad is worth about $100 million.
jen is worth about $80 mill.
brad & angie jolie will be spending some time together soon as re-takes are shot for mr & mrs smith. we shall see if brad can keep the 'no-nookie' promise he made to jen until the divorce is final.

Here's the burning question about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: If it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, is it just an innocent friendship?



"They were kissing and holding each other. He was rubbing her back. It looked romantic," an eyewitness tells Us magazine about Pitt and Jolie's four-day Easter weekend at a secluded villa at the posh Parker Palm Springs hotel.

"It's obvious they were a couple," hotel employee Levi Sotomayor dishes.

Another staffer (who prudently remained anonymous) chimes in: "Brad and Angelina were definitely having an intense romantic relationship, from what I saw. They did not behave like just friends."
