Burberry Prorsum S/S 07 Milan

i dont know yet if i like the colors of this collection, it seems to have tons of gray.

those silver shoes and bags though, are fantastic!!!!

I love Burberry (it's my fav house), i love Bailey. But this collection is so-so. I'm not crazy about it. The collection doesnt' lack identity, or inventiveness. But I think it somewhat lacks originality. (I think his best collection was F/W 2005/06.... the hippie looking collection.) I do understand the convergence of styles, but it also lacks something, that special piece that would make me go "wow!!!" I mean, the puffy sleeves (balenciaga), the rhinestones (m.jacobs), the black headbands (prada f/w 05/06) = it's all been done before, which isn't bad, but something in this collection doesn't scream "here i am, u HAVE to buy me!!!" when bailey tries to be original with the rhinestone trimming on collars and sleeves it turns out to be over-the-top and unwearable (even more unwearable than comme des garçons skirt-sewn-on-pants).

it's a respectable effort overall, but left me wanting to see that "it" piece!!!!!

grade B

I'm really liking the mix of understated, neutral shades with the glitzier metallics and stones  The feathers on the other hand...

I don't like the sleeves at all, I think we should stop experimenting with sleeves

this made me laugh, i agree.

I like what Snejana and Stam are wearing, it seems very Prada and MJ as others have pointed out, but I don't think that is a bad thing. It looks like there are studs on the top Snejana is wearing and the dress Stam is wearing, but the image is not that clear. I like that.

I LOVE Burberry as always. Christopher Bailey alwasy turns out classic, good looking clothes that anyone can look good in.

^^Yeah but classic boring, even though I really like this collection I'm gonna start hating Burberry if Bailey doesn't turn more original.

very "60's home sewing pattern". just certain types of darts and seams, as well as somewhat awkward proportions.

exactly!

Is anyone else surprised that there aren't a lot of veteran top models here? I mean, not even Gemma Ward.

In many ways, I agree. I adore Burberry, but I just can't feel this. The shiny fabrics are awful (I hate it, why are those fabrics becoming a trend?), and nothing really pops. It's just boring :(

I agree with all that you said. It seems like everyone is copying each other. I love Burberry too but I don't like the slight refs. to other designers.

I like it, though some elements looked more Miu Miu/Prada than Burberry Prorsum to me. But whatever...

I think the Mens spring collection was a billion times better than this one. Everything was so dull and boring and nothing was memberable in my mind.

its nice but looks like a winter collection
