i feel a bit sorry for him. he probably took all those comments heavily to heart. the comparisons with phoebe etc.
now he tried to tame his hedi thing down and adding some earth tones to his clothes to make it more celinish. the problem here is that he seems to be very limited in his silhouettes. he is just limited, its seems to be really hard for him to experiment and try stuff.very stiff. its not ugly at all. but its quite mediocre. cut the heads off and this looks like a michael kors collection.

i dont remember so well but the boots even look like michael kors for celine

Very weird collection. You can tell he went out of YSL box here, added a bit of old Celine. It is not ugly or bad, very wearable, but something is off here and it overall looks very weird and out of place, not even in a bad way, just like it belongs somewhere else?

I actually liked it! I saw the livestream and I enjoyed it a lot!
I think that this is maybe his best collection ever as a womenswear designer...(even if it’s not an achievement when realizing how mediocre his work has been).

I don’t know if it’s because of Karl’s passing but a lot of this reminded me of his work for Chloe in the early 70´s and worn by Stephane Audran.
Stéphane Andran in Les Noces Rouges is wearing exactly the same type of fashion...

In fact, it’s very chic bourgeois 70’s dressing with a heavy dose of early 00´s Parisian style.
The looks with jeans are a total throwback to what we used to wear in Paris on our lazy days in 2004. This could be the womenswear version of his FW04 Dior Homme collection.
Even Balenciaga had those kind of clothes in the shops in 2004.

Maybe for the first time ever, Hedi’s woman doesn’t look like a groupie waiting to be laid backstage after a rock concert. This is an active woman, on the go with a « real life ».

In terms of design, we are close to 0 because this stuff is the permanent collection of Sandro or Isabel Marant but it’s quite chic.

This is his version of Celine. It can work for Celine...

But please, those wedge boots are horrible!

Still not impressed with this even though it's less Saint Laurent. First thing I thought when I saw those shearling boots was Vaccarello's first fall winter season for Saint Laurent.

Also, a bit weird that Edward Enninful acknowledged (on his IG) the fact that Slimane went back to Celine's DNA with this collection...

It looks like a damage control strategy to prevent from the social media backlash he had with his first collection.

The girl that bought Phoebe Philo's Chloé in the early 2000s would surely have worn this, no doubt about that. I can't say I like it in terms of my personal taste in fashion, but I can see how this would be more appealing and accessible for a lot of women to wear.
