Prices are going up on Monday according to an SA that I spoke to today at Saks. A Jumbo caviar classic will be about $3,000 USD.

I can never find any good ones like yours. I have even been to Paris in search of the perfect Chanel bag and came back with only some necklaces.

Italian online retailer Yoox, known for selling last season’s designer fashion at discount prices, is embarking in its second single-designer sale, this time with Chanel. The online sales boutique will be holding a vintage Chanel sale where one-off items, jewellery and accessories will all be sold on the Yoox website starting 12 November.
Over 100 items of carefully sourced Chanel items will make their way to desktops everywhere. The sale’s emphasis will be on current wearability rather than couture and museum-style pieces. Yoox founder Federico Marchetti told the Financial Times: “We are not an archive house but a store.” The oldest items come from the 1950s, when Coco Chanel re-established her Paris house after the war, but many more are from the period of Karl Lagerfeld’s tenure as designer, starting in the mid-1980s.
Everything on sale is in great condition and prices are very reasonable. Starting at approximately £130 for jewellery up to £260 for a gilt-buttoned swimsuit to £1000 for a silk dress and matching jacket.

......waaaaaaaa, im a bag maniac and need to own every single chanel on this planet ..... im on the phone with my SA scouring the whole world for a 2005 lime green classic flap with jewel chains while im watching my ebay items to hopefully win a reissue and i have an original leather coco cabas on the way to me..... which reminds me: where is the FEDEX guy?? with lots and lots of smilies!!!!

i just saw the purple croco i got- (i had pre-ordered it from the states) Its sooo tinyyy......clutch size! im selling it on ebay but now im having second thoughts- maybe i can use it as an evening bag? i got the fushia croco in a bigger size- so i dont know if i really need this one...anythoughts?

Was anyone lucky enough to buy anything from the Vintage Chanel sample sale? I'm so disappointed that I only just found out about it - almost everything has been sold! I loved the quilted pink bag and there was a gorgeous black leather bag as well...

the sample sale was if you ask me the biggest waste of time. tiny amount of stock considering the press... there were about 4 styles of not so great bags. only one little pink one which was out of fabric. the leather ones were around 1500 Euros. i think ebay has better deals
