Chanel Pre-Fall 2010 Paris-Shanghai

I am feeling slightly disappointed by this collection already. It looks very cheap; the Chinese collar makes the Chanel suit look incredibly kistch and like it was made by a vendor selling knock-offs. :innocent:

I can't believe the workmanship that went into this; Lemarie and Lesage did an extraordinary job on the decoration of the pieces. But overall, everything looks very kitsch to me and not very luxe at all.

Well for me Chanel becomes more irrelevant every season
i mean a video for the presentation? boring
I couldnt even watch like 10 sec of it...it is boring, not exciting

and the clothes are so blah! they look like 90's clothes...

Im getting so tired of Chanel, I almost wish it closes
i think it's because of the big hype over it...i cant feel it

sorry people

I quite like it, especially for Freja's black coat.

the video is indeed boring

i love the collection so far though.
while many of the looks verge a bit too much on costume-china, the cuts, the fabrics the colors and the sparkling embroideries look beyond amazing!

next cities:
egypt i would love (thought that would be more of a resort than pre-fall)
istanbul could work
barcelona i only wish (KARL, if you are reading this, i still remember you wanted to come to Barcelona do do a cruise show back in 1973 after the Paris-Monaco show. have not forgotten karl! :judge:)

I think the Monte-Carlo Collection in 2007 is still the best Pre-Fall show of Chanel

Paris/New York (the Grand Central Station Show) with the boots and hot pants was my favorite...^_^ But this one needs those ultra-HQs that Chanel posts on it's website, where you can see every stitch and feather...The beauty of this work can't be viewed (and judged) from the audience...

Sorry but this is a mess. Those stereotypical headpieces? Well done Karl on the originality front. This really doesn't express anything of the Chinese aesthetic to me, but that's just personal. As is my opinion of the atrocious styling - its like they just threw the clothes at models to see where they ended up.

And what is Baptiste wearing?
