Those 'paint' print is terrible.. as is the token menswear set (although that's a given in any Chanel show)..

I wish someone would come along and evolve Chanel beyond the eternal tweeds and pearls, there is taking the heritage into consideration and there is forcing some literal version down our throats every season.

There were a very FEW pieces I liked her. I liked around 4 dresses, a pants suit and a bathing suit. I don't think the styling was that great either. And although I didn't like any of the bright pink looks, I do applaud Karl for his use of color.

Honestly, I hardly ever get the hype with Karl's Chanel collections, but this one made me smile as I was looking at it for the first time. It's his best Chanel collection in YEARS. So cute & fun!

In 89 looks there are bound to be a few nice pieces, and there are a few in this collection.

But the rest of it is largely bad and the styling is really bad.

Venue is superb, but collection is total mess. 88 looks - it's really too much. It's a lot going on in show, but non of the models looks good. Especially those multi colored dresses ant the end - so hideous. Although accessories is great. Colorful and fun.

I agree. Too many looks and the same old stuff, it seems he tried to make the collection look younger, it almost felt that Karl tried to infuse some grunge from YSL here. Don't like it.

Minus Karl's trademark hideous few looks, this is the best Chanel collection I've seen in a while. Beautiful, wearable clothes with the novel accessories I always associated with Lagerfeld's Chanel. I'm so glad he's moved on from those ridiculous American football player shoulders which always seemed so unrefined.
I look forward to seeing the show (in a Chanel art gallery?) and the details.

I usually HATE Chanel colections but this one was kind of cool, problably because I love the set so much that it made me apreciate the clothes.
I love the Warhol inspiration.

Exactly. And it makes it not even fun to discuss, because I don't want to read a bunch of people trying to pinpoint the looks they liked and sorting through all 90 images to find them. This is like 4 collections in one, and to me only 1 of those collections would be worth a damn.
