This morning I went to the mall and by chance, came back with a Chocolate python. I am still deciding if I made the right decision though. Are the scales on the chocolate supposed to be hard? I've found that this makes the bag more "rigid" than my Natural.

I can't decide if I like the Chocoalte or if I want to exchange it for the black python I also saw. The black was more soft and slouchy! What do you girls think?

Sugar, you have the same Chocolate python, too, right? Are your scales hard and is the bag kind of stiff?

^^ I wish it was! I love the two-toned. This one is just the solid brown.

edna - I've seen the choc brown python the other day and I have to agree with you that the python skin is much more harder than the two tones from previous season I have.
My two tones brown came out the same season with your natural. I decided to pass it up as I prefer the python skin to be more softer the new one remind me of the replica where the python skin is very uniform.

I hope it'll be getting softer after used though. But I think you may check with sugar if her one is getting softer.

edna, for what it's worth, i don't know anything about the python being harder, but i really do like that bag!! like your natural, too! do you find the natural hard to keep clean around the handle area?

Thanks, everyone! And Drel, the handles of the Natural aren't hard to keep clean, per se. But I have been really careful in general when I've used it. The strap of the handles look fine. It's just the edges of the "lacing/binding" (is that what it's called?) that have started to darken.

Edna, I think the chocolate python looks great, but I do prefer the softness of the loden. Have you seen it IRL? I think it looks so much better IRL (the pics aren't doing it justice).

Thats a shame... Maybe it's so its more durable and doesn't curl as much? I know my 2 tone is pretty fragile.

Thanks, Guessgirl! But it is a shame though. I really like the soft python skin. It just looks so much better!

But anyhow, my Silverado family won't be a family anymore. This is where regret sets in. I'm definitely keeping the brown though, just because I'd get more use out of it!

That's a shame. I saw a loden medium doctor silverado bag in an upscale boutique in Chicago that had super soft scales (felt like velvet to the touch). I would have purchased it on the spot, but I don't care for the doctor style. If it had been a regular medium, I would have snatched it right up.

Oh, I forgot to say that I haven't seen the loden in real life yet. That is the army-greenish color, right?

Well, it's a difficult to describe color: gray, green, and a little bit of taupe. It looks MUCH better IRL than in the pics online.

didn't realize the bags were softer, but now that i look at my doctor bag, it is rather stiff. is there really a difference in the appearance? overall, i like the doctor bag because of the size, but do prefer the two tone look of the silverado...why couldnt they make the silverado just a tad bigger

btw...that loden sounds very interesting. where can i find that color?

Went to a preview today and saw the new mocha python silverado. What a beauty! I won't buy any pythons for myself (just a personal thing) , but as a bag, I think it's my fave silverado. It's much smoother and softer compared to the 'painted/glazed?' pythons and I could see why the SAs were so excited by that colour! (What was funny was how they didn't even show me the metallic silverados saying they were just too funky and weird... )

I think there is a dark brown one on ebay now.
