Just a heads-up....Neiman is taking advance orders for the python silverado in pewter, medium size. I'll get mine April 16th!!!:)
 
Call Bernadette at the Minneapolis store....there's room for more on the list. Will ship in April so they charge you right away - $2k. The color is luscious: metallic silver/deep gray!!!

Is there a picture of it posted in this thread? I've only seen the two-toned one.

glammgal...If Chloe London will ship to Asia, I'm sure they will ship to Canada. However you may want to try Chloe Paris instead which seem to have more stock currently. Chloe London is expecting new stock in a couple of weeks.

Sigh...I'm still figuring out how to get my Gold Silverado Large :heart: ... Also now that the solid dark brown, which is available in Medium (less rare than the Gold Medium) sounds so enticing, I'm undecided again... :blink::blush:

Sorry if I added to your confusion! It's very difficult to make a call between the brown and gold, since they each have such a different feel to them. I think it all depends on your personal style. The gold is definitely more of a statement bag.

I haven't seen a picture of the solid brown posted anywhere in this thread, but it's basically just the dark brown of the two-toned without the lighter python added. I know how hard it is to imagine without a picture though - wish I had one for you!

You and pucci_mama have been fantastic in being my "eyes" for the silverados. :flower: Thank goodness for fabulous fashionistas like both of you to help with the decisions , especially when I can hardly see the real thing myself!

The SAs I spoke to in London was not really helpful as her feedback was "...Brown is more natural. Gold is more bling-bling!.."

Think the "bling-bling"ness of the Gold is subjective. Handbagbabe has one and she considers it fairly natural because of the natural leather parts. Personally, I am not totally uncomfortable with the Gold or similarly "bling-bling" bags (I got the metallic red Classique Balenciaga when many was rejecting it...:blush:). It looks and sounds like such a fabulously luxe bag to own, esp. in Large!! :heart:
But the Brown...sigh...sounds so yummy too!!! Think the waitlist for the Brown may be longer than for the Gold as many deem Gold as being too flashy... :unsure:
 
I would recommend getting the brown first - it's more versatile than the gold, although I have no problem getting a lot of use out of the gold ;) I just love this bag in brown, gold, beige and pewter python!! I pass on the pink and green.....looks almost cartoonish for such a great bag. Balenciaga styling is much more appropriate for color (which I also love).

You have to go for what you think is right, I don't think te gold is bling-bling. And I think I can tell by the way you write about the gold...Is glamouros ect, ect...

I think your heart is leaning a little more towards it;) maybe im wrong..

It seems pretty relable by the pictures beeing taken on the actual bag, I almost think I preffer the Large one:p

Nope - that's the Spring two-toned version.
The Summer version is all one solid dark brown color.

I personally prefer the two-toned version just a little more (it's the one I have), but oddly I can tell you that I wouldn't have bought it based on its appearance in pictures. I have no idea why, but it just doesn't photograph well at ALL in my opinion. (To me it looks a little cheap and busy in every picture I've seen of it.) It's absolutely beautiful in person though - honestly! I'm so glad I bought mine first before I saw pictures of it - I would have missed out on one of my favorite bags.

It does sound like you might be leaning a little bit toward the gold, since you wouldn't consider it too "bling". And I know you're right about the gold being easier to get - the waitlists are shorter for the gold and more places ordered them, so you should have an easier time finding one.

I agree with the statements regarding the 2-tone brown....doesn't photograph well, but looks great in person :)

the black and white with the natural and browns looks great :D
I used to only love the original brown in silverado, but I've come to love the natural bag like you have now too
 
meeyawsa, where can I get the other brown?? Have it been out in store yet and how much it costs for the medium one? I love it :heart:
