Hey Pucci I've only seen the pewter in one photo in a mailer I got last week and it looked fab. It has a sheen to it but doesn't look "evening bag" shiny and the color is a cross between dark gray, almost black with a metallic, silvery-ish look to it. Hard to describe and it's being sent April 16th. I plan to use it this fall though, not this summer. I have a small gold that I've used for an evening bag (not real dressy because of the shape but nice to have when I'm wearing something nicer than jeans at night) and I really do intend to get a lot of use out of the medium gold during the day in summer as well as the beige.
This is just my opinion, but, I think the shape of this bag lends itself to more casual use no matter the color.....Meowmix is getting pewter as well. I'm sure we'll both be posting pics

Theres a pewter silverado on ebay if you want to see what it looks like. I like it in gold more!

Type in "chloe metallic grey silverado" or something like that. She says its limited edition..but in a way i guess they all kinda are.

I dont like the pewter as much as the gold. I think the gold is more prettier

Thanks Pucci....that's it, but looks nothing like the picture in NM mailer....the camera flash is obviously discoloring the python. It looks less shiny than those pics show and there's no brownish cast to it. Even in that pic though, I still love it The only silverados I don't like are the rose, green, aqua, pink.....I can buy Balenciag bags for color

I personally think that the black is kind of a boring choice for a great bag like this. I would go for the brown... which i
is still considered very "classic" if that is what you are looking for.

But, at the end of the day your the one that ha to carry it, and if you think the bag is IT then don't let anything stand in your way

I agree with Pucci 100%...the black really hides the character of the bag and if it's a python, it would be such a waste Try brown, natural or beige (or gold)....they accentuate the bag's style and quality of leather (or python).

I felt the python on the Chloe silverados and it didnt feel that luxurious? Maybe its just the ones I felt but I was rather disappointed. They felt like leather

i have a choice between a black silverado and a cognac paddington... now i know theres already a paddington thread but between the two which would u choose... and i understand both bags are very different but i agree the black looks very boring and plain (just like any bag) i really don't know

I would go for the paddington.

A black bag you can get in any other bag, but the snakeskin deserves a better colour. It all depends about your style, have a look in your wardrobe, find out what works for you

I would go for the Paddington, It is a really nice bag. And many people are still dying to get hold of them

Even though is more a "trendy" bag.

Hi, I would go for the Paddington as well (I have the brown Paddy) but be aware that for an everyday bag, it's rather heavy (that padlock is h-e-a-v-y) but the leather is super thick - will only get better with age and will last forever!!! And you can always take the padlock off....I just love the look of the deep brown color....dreamy....

the one i have on hold is actually the small paddington.... the paddlock is on the side is that a nice one too?? the SA said the color was cognac so like a biege color with a gold hue to it... so now i have a another choice...... they have a fendi spy bag for sale.its brown w/ the logos F in the middle instead of the pleats.... its a large so its quite big (i think) which one should i go for???

I personally don't like the small paddington... and I don't really like the Fendi spy with the logos... If you can get ahold of an all leather one, maybe one of the two tone ones, I'd suggest the Fendi spy... I dunno. Depends also on what fits your lifestyle. I probably wouldn't be able to fit my agenda or sunglasses in the small pddington in addition to my wallet so I wouldn't choose that.
