After reading the police report, I hope that Chris Brown becomes an EPIC FAIL. No, seriously. I hope that not a single album of his gets sold again, I hope his music videos go away...to not only beat your girl within an inch of your life but to be living it up? I agree with the statement that him being slightly less evolved than an ape is a grave insult to apes.

As for Rihanna, I sure hope that Jay-Z gets his butt there ASAP and intervenes. She needs some serious help.

If Chris goes to prison, gets counseling, anger management and on probation. His life hopefully can make a better turn. I won't condemn him for the rest of his life. But he has to work for it.

that police report is so, so sad

and really so shocking. That's terrible violence, and i'm just sad for Rhianna.

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Rhianna LEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAVVVVVEEEE HIM NNNNNNOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!

This whole thing is one big mess. I really hope he goes to jail (though I know he won't ) and she seriously needs to get away from him and get some help. If she's really back with him it will completely destroy the image of strong, independent woman she created.

FOX NEWS' Roger Friedman sums it up well...

It took Chris Brown nine days to apologize to girlfriend Rihanna for allegedly beating and biting her.

That stunning account comes from the LAPD officer's notes about what happened between the two pop stars on the night of February 8th. According to the report released on Thursday, Rihanna’s assistant received a text message from Brown on February 17th apologizing for what he’d done and saying he was going to "get help."

What either one of them did for the interceding nine days is unknown. But the report of what the police feel happened on February 8th is clear. If the charges are true, not only should Rihanna not be with Brown, but he needs more than "help." He needs punishment.

According to the police report, Brown not only "lost it" with Rihanna, but became what can only be termed enraged and psychotic. It’s impossible to imagine Rihanna, who only an hour before this happened had been the belle of Clive Davis’s Grammy ball, ducking and trying to protect her face as Brown mercilessly beat her inside a car.

The initial assault was prompted by Rihanna objecting to Brown receiving a three page text message from a former lover. (Sources still insist to this column that Paris Hilton was the sender. There’s still no confirmation of that.)

Brown didn’t care for Rihanna’s opinion, and tried to push her out of the car. When that didn’t work, Brown, according to Rihanna, "took his right hand and shorced her head against the passenger window…causing an approximate one inch raised circular contusion. He then started punching her with his right hand as he drove. "The assault caused [Rihanna’s] mouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her her clothing and and the interior of the vehicle."

Stop right there. Even though Brown’s assault continued, painfully, for some time until Rihanna was able to grab his car keys and get out, that’s enough. No matter how many hit records she has, or fleeting fame, it’s now her parents’ and family’s responsibility to make this young woman come to terms with what happened.

Rihanna is a role model for young people. She gave this statement to the police. Pictures of her bruised and bloodied have been widely disseminated. If she doesn’t testify against Brown, put him in jail, and show a sense of self-respect, then she deserves to lose this career and the power that comes with it. For her own sake, and for the millions of girls who look up to her, this is a pivotal moment.

And the 9 days? Disgusting.

I think they are only together so Chris doesn't get any jail time. The lawyers and her/his people are working together for Chris to avoid jail. They will break up in no time as soon as this is done with.

I see her with the 2 bodyguards and list of assistants, but where is Chris in the picture? I've yet tot see any pictures confirming these 2 are together.

the 2nd picture with his one security looks like him. Anyway, what website is this coming from?...when did they leave together, since he's still in LA as of today?

Yeah, as a possession of his bosses pretty much, he is probably being very carefully groomed to look good and properly repentant and humble and 'I've found Jesus!' so to speak, in front of the judge. :yuk:

Protective order issued against Chris Brown
March 6, 2009, 1:43 PM EST
Entertainment Tonight
Breaking news: ET is first to receive the protective order issued by the court that limits Chris Brown's interactions with Rihanna, whose given name is Robyn Fenty.
The order filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday stipulates that Chris must not "harass, strike, threaten, assault (sexually or otherwise), follow, stalk, molest, destroy or damage personal or real property, disturb the peace, keep under surveillance, or block movements of the protected persons named above," with Robyn Fenty listed as the protected person. View the document here.
The order expires on March 5, 2012, and also requires Chris to surrender or sell any licensed firearms within 24 hours. The order also prevents the teenage R&B star from attempting to dissuade witnesses from attending a hearing or testifying, or trying to "obtain the addresses or locations of protected persons or their family members, caretakers, or guardian unless good cause exists otherwise."
Another stipulation of the order states that the protected person -- Rihanna -- may record any prohibited communications made by the restrained person -- Chris.

Rihanna's attorney Donald Etra told ET Thursday, "Rihanna was ok with the so-called level one protective order, which orders Chris not to annoy, molest or harass her. And Rihanna believes that was totally sufficient."
In the order, Brown is listed as being six feet, two inches tall and weighing 195 pounds. Keep checking back here for more details on this developing story.

No I'm sorry but she doesn't "deserve" anything of the sort. For christs sake have some people not heard of compassion? I mean I don't expect any more from such a vile network like fox, but the amount of comments, here and elsewhere, which are focusing on Rihanna and laying into her is disgusting. Abusive relationships are incredibly hard to get out of, regardless of whether someone has the material resources to or not. Just think about it for a moment, doesn't the fact that she is, apparently, willing to stay with him, esp after this has become public, show just how messed up she is? She needs support and help, not condemnation. Seriously I wish people would think about how potentially damaging all these comments which criticise her could be if she is aware of them.

I also wish people wouldn't look at situations and simply think "well I wouldn't do that" because, firstly, you do not know what you would do until you are actually in a situation and also everyone is different and respond, react and feel differently about/in similar situations.

Will Rihanna Testify Against Chris Brown?

He allegedly bruised and battered her, yet she took him back. And now, could she get him off the hook?

Legal experts say whether Rihanna will testify against Chris Brown could be a key factor in his felony case.

"The DAs are facing an uphill battle now if Rihanna isn't cooperating," says Steve Sitkoff, a Los Angeles defense lawyer and former prosecutor. "At this point, her cooperation can make or break the case. But the DAs may not need her if Brown is willing to strike a plea deal."

Brown was formally charged Thursday with two felonies – assault and making criminal threats. If convicted, he faces anywhere from probation to a maximum four years and eight months in state prison, prosecutors say.

Asked if Rihanna is cooperating with the DAs, her lawyer Donald Etra told PEOPLE: "She'll do everything that the law requires her to do."

Experts say prosecutors will almost certainly subpoena Rihanna as a witness, but while she may be forced to appear she cannot be threatened with jail time – as is possible in a non-domestic violence case – if she refuses to take the stand.

At most, she could be punished with fines or other sanctions, but a judge may be reluctant to do so.

"If she refuses to testify, that could potentially jeopardize the DA's case," says Loyola Law School professor Stan Goldman. "Her statements to police about Brown having beaten her can only be used against him if she agrees to testify."

Experts agree it's just too soon to tell.

"Rihanna and Brown obviously have a volatile relationship," says L.A. defense attorney and former prosecutor Jeffery Rubenstein. "Who knows if they'll be together tomorrow. She may want him to take responsibility for his actions and take the stand. This case has only just begun."

Just in from Perezhilon.com

Chris Browns 'team' is apparently working on overdrive to salvage his sinking career.

According to the Chicago Sun Times, Beat Her Down and his 'victim', Rihanna, are set to co-author a book about abuse and go on a talk show tour to speak directly to their fans and the general public.

Other things on the ”Project Mea Culpa” do do list includes Brown's telling of his increasingly abusive behavior toward Rihanna, and partnering with clinical experts in the field to add credibility to their couples counseling efforts.

A source close to the Beat Her Down camp said, ”Obviously this is a public relations campaign, but it only will work if there's genuine healing, contrition and a path to preventing future problems. … It's another example of trying to turn a bad situation into something good … where people can learn to change habits.”
