That's it! The infamous Pocahontas collection! Terribly reviewed, but, from what I've read, a personal favorite in the Dior Atelier!
Looking back through 90's fashion...most of it was very awkward...but as I've become more familiar with early Galliano and Galliano for Dior, it's become very clear the Galliano owned the 90's! His shows were so charming, so creative, so much fun!..and the models looked like they were having a blast...apparently, they all loved John to death and often did his earliest shows for free simply as a favor! How adorable! I would do anything so see some videos of these collections!
All this 90's fashion makes me remember Robert Altman's Pret-a-Porter! Wasn't his greatest movie, but I recorded it on TV a month or two ago and I've managed to catch all the runway footage and have watched them over and over again!
Yes I'm now again intrigued by the HC F/W 1999 since seeing the photos again after all these years. I dont care what people would think, I would wear one of those wolf hides.
First off, a little Dior sampler...I watch this almost everyday...this whole video is positively orgasmic! There are lots of clips of 90's Dior HC and RTW! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0KsphEXj5M
