I was just googling for pics of L'Orangerie and I found 2 locations at Versailles are called L'Orangerie.

There's this one:

Anyone know which location it will be?

8PM is not the time when the show will start
it's the time when guests are supposed/asked to arrive ;)

@beaverhausen:

Wow.... I hope it's the first one!

(and i love your name, lol. Karen Walker's alias? Anastacia like russian royalty. Beaverhausen like where the beavers live. LMAO.)

I disagree he already did a collection inspired by the history of Dior: Fall 05 Couture. Personally I think it could be inspired by rococo which is defined as a combination of the French rocaille, or shell, and the Italian barocco, or Baroque style. Due to Rococo love of shell-like curves and focus on decorative arts.

-or-

The influence international trade had on 18th century fashion i.e. Japonisme and Chinoiserie.

No matter what the collection turns out to be I would bet anything on it being just as extravagant and opulent as the 18th century was.

You forgot to quote this from www.wikipedia.com

^^the first location would be amazing

so how many hours away is it from now?

Both of those pictures are the Orangerie, one is inside the building and one is the gardens.

Aussie models taking fame in their stride

Article from:
THIS week's haute couture catwalk shows in Paris are the grand final of fashion.
And while the A-list front row seats will be reserved for the world's fashion elite, backstage Australians are taking over.
Even in the biggest couture show - John Galliano's Christian Dior 60th anniversary parade - Australian models will be a big part of the fixture.
Following in the footsteps of Gemma Ward and Catherine McNeil is Mosman teen Alexandra Agoston-O'Connor who is taking stardom all in her stride.

Last year she did 26 catwalk shows at New York Fashion week and tonight will be just one of a few Australians playing a part in the Dior show.
And there is another strong Aussie connection to Dior, with Erica Baxter recently wearing a $100,000 Dior wedding dress when she married James Packer.
Baxter and her mother-in-law Ros Packer are tipped to be in the front row for the show which will take place in Versailles palace and promises to be a stellar launch for the week-long couture shows.

It will be the second time she has starred for Dior after appearing on the runway in January this year, along with parades for Christian Lacroix and Franck Sorbier.

Rising international fashion star and fellow Australian McNeil will also appear on the Paris catwalks this week.
The New York-based, French Vogue cover girl, who is one of the faces of Dolce & Gabbana's D&G label, is being considered - but has not been confirmed - for a place on the catwalk by a raft of high-end designers.

I want so bad to see Kate on the couture runway again & I hope my other favorite models are casted- but more importantly I just want to see the collection haha.

^^^So glad to see confirmation on Agoston's participation in the show. I figured it would happen, Galliano seems to really love her!

I want to see the cast so bad, my dream would be for Daria, Gemma, Carol T, Liya, Shalom Harlow, Gisele, Kate M,.. a mixture of the old and the new.

Okay, I found these on didoubass' Flickr. I don't know if they have anything to do with the show, but it looks like it.

oh no... I would not like it if that was the shows layout. But then... oh we'll see hehe

 Thank you!
Damn, ppl, make a guess game what the theme is about!

Hmm...., a midnight summer dream of haute couture?

There are 12 hours left for the show!!

ps: I don´t know if that will make Dior people very happy, they seem to reserve details for the last minute, since yesterday, Dior´s anniversary news have been clossing the french news on Tv5, with an interview to John and not even a sinlge sketch of the collection has been shown.

That's because Orangeries are indoor and outdoor. The citrus trees are kept in huge pots and put outside during the fair weather. During the winter season, they are kept indoors!

Here is another image of the outdoor Orangerie where you can clearly see the potted trees.
