some of those floor length dresses towards look like those "My First Barbie Princess" dolls.

if i'm a chic girl with loads of money and want a trenchcoat... would i get it from Dior? or Burberry Prorsum? (with those pleated, draped and tucked details )

the gimmick here? SEE THROUGH! you see the UNDERWEAR! that's why the dresses themselves are rather BORING!

now, how many women will actually wear it TRANSPARENT? slim to none i'd say. definitely not Carla Bruni.

so, take away that gimmick, and what you have is a boring collection that is based on the thrill of lingerie, but with no actual lingerie elements in sight!

John did the whole underwear as overwear thing before and seriously, the lace over nude fabric idea = still genius.

lace over fabric of all kinds of color = blah

AND BURN THOSE WRETCHED ANKLE SOCKS! SOCKS SHOULD BE INVISIBLE FFS! EITHER WEAR THEM UNDER PANTS WITH BOOTS OR NOT AT ALL!

I was honestly expecting something along the lines of this... :

It's basically the same decade of inspiration, but in P/E 2004, it was done with some modernity. I could do without the makeup and hair, but the clothes were so cool!

I like it...nothing new at all really, but the orange dress is a showstopper. The rest less so, the flowery prints feel so odd in a Dior collection
