Christian Dior S/S 10 Paris

Well at least there's an idea this season. WAY better than the last TWO seasons (especially S/S 09).
The hair and makeup is beautiful, very glamorous. I think they're trying to reinvent the label to match the economic situation but they don't realise than no one is just gonna forget about John's previous work.'
As a whole the collection is disappointing, but relatively speaking it's beautiful.

The Dior S/S 09 Show is one of my favorites Dior Shows!!!It was incredible!!!And i can`t decide which Show was better?!?But maybe S/S 10 is better!!!

How many collections does Galliano put out each year? Two haute coutures for Dior, four RTWs - two for Galliano and two for Dior, and a Dior resort collection. Is this correct?

There are the Cruise and the Hommes Collection, too.

I think this collection is beautiful, but we always are waiting
that Galliano who made us cry with his phenomenal, mad, crazy and wonderful shows
he used to do...

Say him good bye guys,
Galliano is fading...

^ my sentiments exactly. it's like the house is slowly ushering him out the door. Seems like people think John's lost his mojo, but it's more like him being told what to do and if it doesn't work he's to be blamed, and if it does work, then expect more mediocrity until either he can't stand himself or they just feel like any other design can take over.

i just cannot wait for the full story to come out about what's happening behind closed doors at the house of dior. it's so clear to me that they've firmly muzzled and blindfolded galliano at every step in this collection. the travesty remains that each and every one of those pieces stands as awesome investment dior pieces. imagine walking into a vintage show twenty years from now and picking up those shoes or those bags or those sheer dresses? signature galliano for dior work. however, in a season obsessed with the future, why on earth would they not give him more freedom to STYLE the show in a way that has more IMPACT!?

if christian dior were a woman, i'd put her on suicide watch.

John should take the Valentino...and I really like the 60s classic theme

Its certainly not an impact
but there are very saleable pieces that's for sure

I get all your comments about john losing inspiration
something seems very different

Gorgeous collection. Very wearable.

I love how many of the pieces have a boudoir air about them.

The blue dress in #157 is the only thing that excites me. This collection is a disappointment.

its wearable that's for sure. the clothes are so boring and with the makeup is so subtle, the theatrics are gone.. there's really nothing special here now. there is no power in this, dior only has it name now and even it that is fading.. killed dior homme, next the woman.

It's pretty enough and it's clearly adapted from the couture collection.
But it certainly doesn't feel inspirational

He continues to bore me to tears, another snoozefest of recycling ideas

Encore the Borehouse
And encore for the same reason: use of monochrome outfits, cinched waist, transparency, and 1 reference: maybe last summer it was 'safari chic', and this is 'film noir'... but the thing is it's all "head to toe inspiration". it's dull. anyone can come up with that.

i find the platform shoes rather boring. maybe it's time for some good pointy stilettos again, no?
