He seems to be still using the concept of those mink wigs. Which I liked.

  , class.

One thing I like about Christina Lacroix is that his dresses are all colorful. He uses the whole palette. Just for that alone he's hitting bullseye.

excuse me...but is everyone going to do a wedding gown because they all know melania knauss is in the market for one?...

i mean ...how many couture wedding gowns do they sell a year...?...can't be many...and the cost of a wedding dress is far greater than a standard couture dress...so they must all be trying to get her to order from them...will be interesting to see who else does one...

will gaultier?...

this tradition has been abandoned for some time now...quite a coincidence that it's coming back at this moment?...no?... :innocent:

on the one hand...i say, of course they're all showing wedding gowns because she's getting married, but not just her. getting married is the "getting pregnant" of the last couple of years. for the past two years, every model, celeb, and royal have been turning up pregnant. i think that has worn off and we'll see marriage as the as the new thing to do.

besides that, i think that both america and france have very VERY romantic (with a capital R) notions about marriage these days (i mean EVERYBODY wants to get married these days, it seems)....and it's being hotly debated in both countries as most of us know. and i think this collective obsession is being commented on by the couture.

with that said, i don't think that lacroix's offering will attract many but i found myself musing over almost every one of his looks...although the mix is intoxicating, it really is amazingly practical...(where does he find the time for this mastery between all of his lines and pucci? )

from the iht article :"Christian Lacroix, against all the odds, makes money on the couture operations with orders doubling over the last year."
i just thought you might want to know

i thought the collection was elegant.

I like this dress most. (most wearable I guess)
