COS Collection of Style

^Agree about city. I do think there are designer/brands influences though

Returned from another trip today - of course ended up buying stuff even though I was supposed to return (dang it!)

I got some really nice tees - viscose and a tiny pocket on the left chest area in grey, white and navy. I don't know if it's overkill to keep them all, but I do need some good tees. A pair of lovely, nude coloured harem pants in 100% silk. A black pair of short, flat ankle boots. They are really nice, but a little heavy. I'll see if I can get some pictures up tmr.

But I was lusting so much for a pair of sandals that reminds me of these Chloe sandals:

Unfortunately, they told me they are totally sold out in sz 36. Ugh.

Thanks for sharing your experience and congrats on you buys advo. The harem pants sound great, I've been looking for something like this for ages. Will surely go and check out.

As for COS style, for me it is like a mix of Jil Sander and Marni plus a range of classic clothes with a minimalist Nordic twist.

I also agree that they have lots of designers/trends inspired pieces.

Here are my purchases + the Chloe inspired sandals (does anyone know the price of these btw? I forgot to check)

seriously,i wish COS would hurry and open to the american market. i love this range so much more that what H&M offers. it's everything you want in disposable fashion, imho. very quiet, easy, not so obviously-trendy and prissy....

^It's not disposable fashion IMO. It seems to work through the seasons since it's not very trendy.

I wish we had COS in Norway..I really loved the store I went to in Denmark

advo great buys as usual! I love the shoes especially. Are they still available at the Marais store?

^Thanks! What do you mean by the Marais store though?

the ida....no you're right....it's just that for the level of the market it caters to it is considered to be disposable. in other words it isn't like buying something as timeless as say a demeulemeester or van noten jacket et al. that's all i mean.

and btw,i think COS is up there. it's very close to acne's aesthetic. very quiet and very intelligent. i just had a gander at the spring look-book and i am impressed with the quality of design. a lot more distinctive and forward compared with other shops.

And I promise you the quality is FAR better than Acne. Have never seen clothes fall apart so easily. Not even H&M. Oh well

I do think the timelessness-thing is quite subjective. I would never buy Ann Dem because I'm not attracted to the brand thus it wouldn't be timeless for me. COS is pretty...well, it sort appeals to everyone doesn't it  But quality-wise (and everything else) I wouldn't exactly call it disposable, I think they are pretty true to their aesthetics.

^I agree and I also think Acne is far more trendy. I definitely feel that a lot of COS' stuff is timeless - and quality-wise, I think it holds up quite well too.

Sorry I meant the Marais store in Paris! I will be there soon and would love to stock up as there's no COS store here where I live.

I've been hoping to get some items from COS so if anyone who regularly shops there don't mind helping me get them on proxy do PM me. Thank you
