CR Fashion Book #26 S/S 2025 : Madonna by Steven Klein

Oh, I thought that masturbating with a gun was new for her and him... Don't know their catalog that well. It's a strikingly risque idea even if not original.

Honestly, I don't hate this. It's cinematic and she looks good despite if it's real or not.

I love Madonna, i also like the editorial but in a meh! way. This looks cheap, it looks like it was shot by Ricardo Gomes (derogatory) and not by Steven Klein.

The reason it looks off is because it's become impossible to ignore how desperate Madonna has been for so long. She's always fishing for a new stunt - oh sorry, "reinvention" - because that's effectively been half her career.

Is it accompanied by text or a story or something? The editorial seems to be missing something. I want to know who Pat is!!

Wow ! this is so good ! Thank you for posting !

Why does Addison Rae always look so stumpy in her photographs?? She looks slightly better here than she did in Rolling Stone or Vogue France... does she just have really short legs?

^^^ LOL Stumpy but making the effort, flexible— and possesses a neck…More than can be said about a certain Super...

Even to this day, with how mid Carine has been exerting for a decade now, I’m stunned at how low she manages to go. Maybe she just doesn’t give a fcuk anymore because the advertising money is that good, but how she puts her name on all this when her Vogue Paris still reigns as a premium standard for all to witness, is embarrassing or arrogant-- likely both. I guess since she aimed and succeeded in achieving the highest if highs, she’s aiming for the lowest of lows nowadays. And she’s succeeding LMFAO

Every single story looks like a budget student project copying better work that came before it: cheap; inexperienced; lacking organization; resembling lighting test shots; and every story only has one, maybe two frames worthy of print.

I kid you not, Joan’s painfully unflattering and dated shoot looks exactly like the shoot that was typical fodder on ModelMayhem back in 2008. Her stumpiness aside, the only story with the slightest potential is the Addison shoot. But that’s only because it vaguely resembles Steven Klein’s and Madonna’s superior days with their shoot for W Magazine “Madonna Unbound”. Had this been precise, possessed a hint of narrative and storytelling, stronger direction for sharper compositions, it would have been a solid story of a performer backstage. As it is, it’s so low-effort in compiling a bunch of light test shots and calling it a story. And 2003-Madonna would be insulted by that "Like Madonna" 101 low-effort. Current-day Madonna, however...
