Creepers

I was looking through my Elle Collections files this morning... coincidentally found these Creepers featured in the Nathan Jenden A/W 2007 collection. Thought I would share for styling ideas, etc.

See the full collection here. Creepers are used throughout.

Also found some Creepers featured in Vlada's Numéro Tokyo July/August 2009 edit.

Creepers are a perfect example of something that I have never wanted to wear, but I like seeing other people wear them.

They are very scene-specific, to my mind; it will be interesting to see if they can be "re-branded."

I think it's fairly possible, rick owens shoes are a tone down creeper, yohji does have several creeper soled footwear, he wears himself creeper monkey boots and suede Dace V d-rings from George Cox.

Last, I wear them myself.

Lol, I own those pink and leopard creepers! They are from T.U.K, I used to have the white ones but traded them with a friend for the black ones and I also own those other pink ones but in a lighter shade. :D

I have a black pair of Yohji Yamamoto/George Cox creepers that I bought off ebay for about $25. I wear them constantly -- they're not as platform'ed or showy as the majority of shoes in this thread, but they're incredibly versatile.

Eek, I don't think my photos showed up. Here's one that will probably work better:

are they comfortable to walk in? the soles are very wide and thick and textured dont they make you trip or something? ive never seen someone wearing them irl, im just curious

They are actually very comfortable and they feel like a "normal" shoe. Walking in them, I hardly notice the height change. I tend to trip over everything too and I've never tripped in mine, yet.. lol :p

Black creepers area adorable. I can't really deal with the overly obnoxious ones though, just as a personal choice.

They're really cute Jibrielle
I love my creepers, I've got black TUK ones with pink leopard print, usually wear them with jeans but I'm wondering if they'd look ok with a dress, any thoughts? ^_^

those are some flashy shoes yet im still distracted by the tights. and lol to the lace-y socks

i don't think i will ever "get" this trend.
way too emo/goth for my tastes.

I've never worn creepers before, but ever since i saw them at the MaxMara Spring/Summer 2008 collection i actually slightly wanted to own a pair. I think they complimented the collection quite well.

does anybody know where i can order george cox shoes online in europe, except from the two uk sites mentioned at the official george cox website?

i adore the ones yohji yamamoto wears. the ones called 'pop boy' look fine as well, not creepers, though.
