oh yes! apparently the raised scale is a very good thing. this is from devi kroell....

the raised scale is a sign of quality. It means the pythons
have a beautiful, developed scale. what makes the bags most
beautiful are the lifted and large scale. The larger the scale, the bigger
& rarer the pythons.

i was very pretty too...underneath the raised scale was baby pink.

I have the replica of it in the gold python leather and it's fab. Mine is the large, and it's not at all too big, mind you I'm 5 '10, but my best friend has 1 also and she's like 5 '3 - looks good on her too. It's a great everyday tote that really livens up and adds style to your a blah casual outfit. I've had it for a week and get tons of compliments everyday. The real one must be amazing...

If you mean the KROELL bag the label attatched to the bag says 100% python leather, not sure what the replicas are made of...

i love them, but would never do the snakeskin thing, my mum has a thing about it-she says they're bad luck in our religion.She won't even let me use anything that even symbolises it. I'd like exactly the same bag but just plain metallic. I'm ordering a leather one on ebay right now.

If you don't mind me asking where'd you get that from? I really want a big bag I can use for everything, even hand luggage on the plane. I'm really into big slouchy bags at the moment.

just ordered one and cannot wait for it to arrive!!! Im going away and it'll be perfect to store all my junk in during the flight-I always have a problem finding hand luggage that I like. I especially like the fact it's not a really, bright foil type gold, but it's a bit more subtle. But I get waht you mean about having an oversized bag and not being able to find anything-with the one i just bought, i literally have to search forever to get even my wallet out.

this girl is selling hers on ebay(for $1600) except it is smaller-i prefer the oversized one. But it's a perfect matte gold. It's good to check out at least.
