Dior Homme by Hedi Slimane (2000-2007)

Albert, you just sound like normal size to me.

This conversation is getting too serious for me. I'm totally not even taking Dior seriously anymore. I just love to wear the clothes. It's as simple as that. I'll buy a tee if I like it. I don't care if it was on the runway. You know what I mean? I love how it fits me and how it makes me feel, so I'll continue to buy it as long as that stays the same.

Albert, you forgot to add the "D" shirt to your list of horrible shirts. That's gotta be the worst.

About the hoodies, they just look like plain hoodies to me, except they have a bee. I've never tried one on, so maybe they fit really cool or something, but judging from the pictures, I'd never spend $400 on one.

It was only by a stroke of luck that I didn't get the purple D shirt:ninja:
I reallllyyyyyy loved the color, but for some reason my Saks card had been declared as stolen and thus cancelled and I didn't have time to get the situation fixed before I had to catch the bus back to Boston. This was way back at the beginning of VotC. Thank god I didn't buy it! Would have been a huge HUGE HUGE HUGE regret.

As for the hoodies. I've got the royal blue one and it is so nice... oh so nice. The gray zip ups and such... meh.

I'm a little annoyed at my self for buying the red and black striped polo in Large. I was in such a rush at the store during the presale that I grabbed the size large and saw that it sorta fit and then just bought it even though there was a medium left as well. I shoulda just tried it on and realized that it fit much nicer and slimmer. Now i'm gonna have to take my large and get the bastard tailored and taken in on both sides.
I'm pissed off at myself:angry:

If you're gonna spend the money, take the time Albert! ahhhhhhhhH!!!!!

It seems that the tuxedo shirt isn't selling on eLuxury, even for half price. They've had the same four sizes for like three days now. Everything else is either gone or there's one size left. If they had my size, I'd buy that thing so fast.

yea i dont get whats up with that, its a pretty nice shirt, and at 50% off its a must buy. only issue i have with it is that its very fragile.

BUT , this is CHRISTIAN DIOR MONSIEUR .:yuk:

Made for the Middle Eastern Market , the Avenue Montaigne Dior Boutique , Le Bon Marche ' etc etc , in Paris , and other Dior Accessoires Franchisees worldwide .

Actually I don't think it is. That white tag says Christian Dior on Dior Homme products too, and that monogram is from the first Dior Homme collections, I don't think they make it anymore. I could be wrong though, since it's from an early collection, the lines of Dior Homme and Monsieur might have clashed or something. But yes is pretty gross ;)

How so? I'm looking into purchasing it, so I'm curious about that statement...

Wasn't Hedi at YSL, doing Rive Gauche Homme, along with Alber Elbaz?
Yes he was, and he also used to design furniture, and he went to école du louvre.

ive got nothing against hedi but he seems to look a bit constipated...

its extremely thin, and besides the center part surrounding the buttons, the shirt is kinda like see through.

I worried about the see-thru-ness of it when I bought it, but honestly when you are wearing it, it doesn't matter.

The shirt rocks. Buy it.

It's so soft, and comfortable. Because it is only see thru when the material is pressed right up against your skin, you'll pretty much never have any "nipple shots" going on.

Don't worry about it. It's a perfect summer shirt.

Andy at the store told me that a lot of people who bought it wear it with a wifebeater or some tank top as well. Sort of helps offset the sheerness if you worry about that, also changes the overall look to a more casual one by contrasting a tuxedo look with the ruggedness of a 'beater.
