Me too. But only at very special occasions.

Raijin can you please post some pictures of Linea clothing. I'm not sure I agree on your statement! ;)

Linea uses quiet colors too...but I can see where Raijin is heading with the earthy comment. While they definitely seem nice, my style is more in tune with the Dior Homme/Helmut Lang ultra slick aesthetic.

Mine too, but I'm still not sure before I've seen some pictures.

I haven't seen much from Linea, but what I have seen was very nice. But, I'm like Fade to Black and prefer Dior Homme, Helmut Lang, Masaki Matsushima (Favorite designer), etc. I've never really been very open to colors, basically black, white, red, maroon, brown, grey (sometimes), etc.

I will make a new thread for Linea clothing pictures everyone, ok?
I really have come to dislike DH's asethetic..
I suppose my style has shifted.
The design is not really unique.. which is something I need in clothing.
There were some nice pieces, but after the quality drop its not worth it for me. Its mass produced and it seems to be everwhere..
I have not just stopped buying DH, I have stopped buying pretty much everything from the big houses.

I didn't come to this conclusion until I saw all these designers collections in real life. Touch them, look at the tailoring - the treatments, try them on.

Masaki stuff is a bit dissapointing in real life.
Items do not fit like they did on the runway.
I feel like hes not really developing his designs enough, and he could use a new direction. He seems like the kind of designer you buy one nice piece from, and theres nothing else you want.

Yeah do that Raijin.;)

I've made it and am adding some pictures.

I just want to say that my only problem with Dior Homme is the quality (since your paying so much money) and the craftsmanship has never been that amazing.
The look is fine, just not in tune with my personal style.

Linea, Carpe, etc is minimal (probably more so) as well.. but its more earthy and theres a different style to it. The detail is amazing in these pieces.

hmm...I have to disagree with you there. The quality of Dior Homme's suits at least is very good.

Also no offense or anything, but you seemed to have made this switch in tastes quite abruptly...i remember it was like what, 2 weeks ago Dior Homme was still one of your favorite brands, and if I remember correctly it was a favorite of yours for quite some time. Hrm.

The suits are relatively good, I agree with that.

I mean all the other items, and I am talking from personal experience.

The leather on this season's $4800 jackets is not great quality.
The white dress shirts start to fray after only a couple wears (this has happened to a lot of others too)
Screen Prints run when cleaned (according to the instructions!)

The craftsmanship is just not what you get with smaller brands in general.

Well, I had been looking at Linea and Carpe stuff for a long time on the internet, thanks to runner and faust. As well as Rick Owens and Carol Christian Poell, etc.

I began to like the look more and more.. the wrinkled items..etc

However, it was only really solidified when I saw these items in real life.

I still like Masaki Matsushima and Dior Homme clothing. I also like many of the labels you like or liked, a shame because almost all of the ones I like you showed to me, and just so you know I'm not trying to copy you in any way, I just like Linea, Carpe Diem, Rick Owens, Raf Simons, Ato, etc. same as you, but our tastes differ in several ways as well....just to clear that up.
