The whole concept of the Luster collection is mindblowing...and i LOVE the destroyed denim from Strip...but the black whiskered jeans of "Follow Me" are still my all time favorite.

Is it just me or do some of the models appear frail, pale and malnourished? Great collection though

LOL actually it seems like the Dior Homme models from the earlier seasons look more healthy...if you want to see pale frail and malnourished peep S/S 05. Some of those jeans make the models' legs look so skinny it's scary.

Ok all, I hope you all have enjoyed the pics I have posted so far:D. I'm going to go to sleep now, but tomorrow I will continue and post fall 2003, spring 2004, fall 2004, and spring 2005.

thanks a lot raijin!

Browsing through "Red" right now...the background for the show is fu*king incredible...the clothes are so sleek and chic it hurts. I really want that blood splattered black button down...and I would TOTALLY wear this look:

raijin, do you have any items from Dior Homme from the first 4 seasons? If you do, I was just wondering how the quality of the items was then compared to the quality of current Dior Homme stuff.

Hey FTB, I own (or used to own) some older pieces from Reflection, Red and Follow Me. Absolutely no complaints with the older stuff. If anything, I think the details were better. I love the re-sewn side seams that are in the tees and dress shirts of those older seasons. I have a Follow Me black tee with those words across the chest in script and the cotton is much thicker (though still thin) than the stuff Hedi's been putting out lately. Much more durable. The dress shirts are also nice, thick and rugged and finished inside and out absolutely perfectly. I will NEVER give up those two items!

I just sold my military jacket from reflection (leather cuffs, leather waistband) since I bought one of the limited military jackets from Luster. The end of an era hahaha. I strongly recommend you get your hands on the stuff pre-Luster whenever you can as the quality is distinctly different. Not to say the current stuff isnt good, just the older stuff was better.

Oh and the older items are cut very unforgivingly! The slimness of the Dior aesthetic is in its undiluted form in those early seasons.

Cheers,
Albert

BTW: I have a friend who went to UMich for undergrad and now is at U of Rochester med. She told me how much fun she had studying there!
