In many ways I feel that this is a reaction to Prada S/S 2011. The jungle feeling, the stripes...

And that sack - that's precisely the kind of thing only Miuccia Prada would get away with.

This is clearly another editorial collection that will be featured all over Vogue editorials but rarely on real women save editors posing for staged streetstyle photographs during fashion week.

Well, I love it. I think people have to face that different brands have different DNAs, and this is Dolce & Gabbana's DNA. Personally, I think this this collection was absolutely lovely.

Poor Kasia, she must have felt so odd wearing a sack of potatoes on the runway. But the collection as a whole wasn't really good, it was ok I guess. I like some of the striped dresses, and shorts. Other than that, it's pretty bad and repetitive from seasons past

Dolce and Gabanna have become the perfect example of quantity over quality...there is absolutely no need to present the amount of looks that they do, like any good designer you need to edit and it's almost like the brand has regressed in that sense (they've always been look heavy in their collections but it's become comically excessive in the last few seasons)...rather than pump out five thousand looks that become tedious and lackluster they need to pare things down...I'd certainly take twenty razor sharp looks over the trillion looks the brand has been presenting over the coarse of the last few seasons......while I don't hate this collection (albeit NOT finding the humour in a potato sack that will surely cost in the thousands) these last few seasons have made me yearn for the flash and thrill the brand was presenting in the late 90's and early 2000s
