They're like the Valentino of Milan, except people are actually complaining.
Looks like every season is Halloween at D&G. Lots of nice "Italian Lady" costumes to pick from.
I was thinking something along these lines myself. I think they do make some truly beautiful clothes, and this is definitely the best collection they've had since they started this obsession with Italy--but I do wonder, where to draw the line between costume and wearable clothing?

I think it's adorable, but I can't imagine anyone actually wearing it, except maybe to a costume party. Don't get me wrong, though, I'm not saying Dolce & Gabbana are the only designers who seem to lean toward costumey--I definitely think the same thing about other designers, as well.
