Don't waste your money on...

^it must be. because my friend who has PERFECT skin tried it and it even made her skin look dryish.

Clinque mascara - I'm not sure which one. It's the green on with a silver handle. Ughh, it didn't make my lashes any bigger.

I would stay away from Neutrogena facial bars...glycerin made me break out in hives...yuck

Yeah - glycerins in general (breakouts, general consistency, and as a humectant it can draw water *from inside* your skin to the top too, supposedly.

Silicones too although finding things without them is sooo tough. (Drying over the long run some say and causes breakouts at least on me. Though there are a lot of different kinds of 'cones.)

Do'h! Which one, because I'm actually considering buying the vitalumiere (spelling?) one:shock:

arctic white at home teeth whitening kit.
$100
bloody gums
perhaps half a shade lighter not at all what they promise

I had a really nice Chanel foundation a while back. I would have bought it again, but I stopped wearing foundation. My mum also uses Chanel foundation and her skin always looks really nice.

Vichy Oligo 25 eye stick (nice packaging, refreshing sensation but it did nothing to my undereye circles except tiny little bumps, yuck)

Biotherm Biopur Instant Touch Pore Refiner (doesn't work, even made my pores look bigger and dried my skin out)

Both these products cost around 25 $ for a very little quantity and they really didn't work.

I suggest you check out www.makeupalley.com before you buy anything, it's a wonderful site :flower:

/\ i totally second the MUA props.
thanks for the tip on Oligo - i was just going to get it!

Totally don't waste your $$ on: Maybelline's new Ultra-Moist lipstick.
Actually made my lips feel drier in the end AND disappeared into the air within 30minutes. Does work when apply a beeswax-based lip-balm underneath.. but that goes against the whole point of a lipstick that's like a lipbalm innit?

kylie80 didn't list which one - if your skin is normal to dry them vitalumiere should be fine (I think its fine - but so is Elizabeth Arden's Flawless finish and T LeClerc's hydrating foundation - both are cheaper and very similar imo).
I have tried Chanel's double perfection fluid and vitalumiere, and double perfection makes my skin look dry while vitalumiere was fine on me

Hello, first post here^_^ I think I'm the only person on this thread that likes Clinique 3-step... then again, I actually use «Clinique 2-step» as I hate that vile yellow moisturizer  and use YSL moisturizer with the Clinique soap and tonic. My skin is oily/mixed, that is, it cain either break out or become dull/flaky... I tried several brands, now I've been using this combination for about a year and it does wonders!

The bad:

Estée Lauder Thermal Skin Refinisher (?) made my skin break out every time I used it. I ended up using the rest of the tube as body exfoliant!

Clarins Eye Contour Gel - Useless

Bourjois Nail Polish - great colors but take forever to dry. Even if I paint my nails at noon and use drying spray, the next day they have tiny marks from the sheets when sleeping, which ruin the shine. Also, I'm been using a dark red polish, and it actually leaves red streaks in some things I touch!

The good:

L'Occitane Shea Butter range, especially the hand cream

Clarins Souffle de Teint - a really light and natural colour tint / foundation, it's the only product I can use on my face every day that does not cause my face to break out.

I hate:
-Clinique mascara; they do absolutly nothing.
-Clinique 3 step, just awful. Those DDML samples go on my feet only.
-Clinique eyeshadow, too powdery, and too light.
-Shiseido eyeshadow, just didn't work for me, not vibrant enough.

Maybelline expert wear eyeshadows.

color is too light, can barely see it. fades and disappears.

the applicators with the black sponge were made of 'hard' foam..it hurts if you use it!

L'oreal's double extend mascara...the primer is okay, but the 'magnifier' black mascara was useless.. i stopped using the 'magnifier' and just use another mascara to coat on top of the primer

MAC green gel cleanser! Completely dried my cheeks out while my T-zone was still as oily as Iraq  Well come to think of it, my experiences with MAC have never been all that pleasant:unsure: ........ especially with their foundations and creams:yuk:

I would never buy again:

Bobby Brown lipstick: nice colours but awfuls smell & taste: so rancid, I just can't stand it - I had to ditch it after using the lipstick only twice.

Estee Lauder's face bronzer: very orange with lots of shimmer plus it doesn't even do the job of a self-tanner, it just stays on the surface of the skin and smears / mixes with my foundation. So I didn't use it too often, but after 6 months or so, I thought about using it on my legs, because I expected at least one advantage for the money already spent: no way, it went foul already and had turned into something greenish black.

Chanel's concealer quad set: those four colours (yellow, pink, green and skin tone) do nothing for me: the consistence is very grainy and the colours won't achieve any camouflage effect. Whatever you try to blend this product: you will see it; and once you've managed to work it onto your skin properly, you will see the things again that you originally wanted to cover.

Mascara by Shiseido: 1. no visible results, except an agglutinant one once I tried to add a second layer. 2. I couldn't get this stuff off. This was not a waterproof mascara, but it didn't even go off with Chanel's bi-phase eye-remover or with anything cheaper. I returned this product straight away.

Maybelline Intense XXL

One of the worst mascaras I've ever tried. Makes eyelashes dry and flakey.
This is going straight into the bin.

nothing that claims to minimise your pores will actually work... someone once explained to me that they are constantly opening and closing and "breathing" you just hav to keep your skin clean so dirt doesnt get trapped and cause black heads etc. Never buy anything that claims to minimise pores!!
I hate the rimmel comb mascara... half of it went on my eyebrow bone to make me look like i had another eyebrow..
