Don't waste your money on...

Maybe your face is a little oily? My sister and I bought this product and we both used it. I have drier skin then she does and it looked greasy on her and it looked wonderfully matte on me.

It is... that's why I was being so judgmental towards the foundation... I thought I'd finally discovered something that would really be hardcore matte, but I guess it only works on certain people...

Thank you though! :flower:

if you want matte i recommend loreal cashmere perfect

do NOT waste money on maybelline great lash... all i ever hear in magazines is raves about how its the best ever, yet it has never worked for anyone i know or anyone in a makeup forum

I found Olay made my skin oily and disgusting.
But it seems to work for my buddies.
How upsetting.

I'm a Kiehl's man now.
<3
Le sigh.

I used john freida beach waves because i wanted curlier hair for this summer but it did nothing at all........the only nice thing was the fact that it made me smell of coconut

I'll second that! I bought it thinking I could get some nice waves and all it did was make my hair greasy.

It worked quite well for me

I know that Diorshow works for most people, but for me it looked
all smudged and greasy.

Diorshow looked awful on me. I am used to Lancome mascara, which for me never smudged. I wanted that false eye lash look so i tried Dior. It made my eye lashes so dry they broke off. I had no idea a mascara could do this. It took me forever to put 2 and 2 together

any maybelline eyeshadows... max factor clear mascara (the covergirl one is much much better)

I totally agree. Great lash is one of the worst mascaras I have ever used!

neutrogena skin-clearing oil-free foundation compact. goes on cakey as hell.

I bought Diorshow based on a friend's recommendation and I HATE IT. It didn't do jack for my lashes. I should've stuck with the Dior Maximeyes (I think that's the name of it).

I think I'm actually one of the few people here who don't mind Clinique's skincare products. I like the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. It makes my skin feel really soft, and I had this really dry patch near my jawline for almost a year, and finally, it went away when I started using the Clinique moisturizer (along with the help of Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Serum).

A moisturizer don't like Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturizer. It smells kind of weird and it stings when I apply it too close to my eyes (something that doesn't happen with the Clinique stuff). Maybe it's the SPF because I get the same effect with sunscreen as well, who knows. ^_^

I'll third it! John Freida beach waves had such an overpowering scent of the beach that people would ask me if i'd gone. It was so embaressing to say i hadn't!

Don't buy "clinique superbalm lip treatment". It comes in a really really tiny plastic tube. I got it when my lips were dry. I was told it would go on lightly and not leave any sticky residue, and would heal my lips within hours.

Its so incredibly sticky, that just putting it on causes my lips to chap and have that white gunk. It doesn't heal because it dries the lips out, as well as you licking your lips due to them being so unnaturally sticky! I think it cost me something ridiculous like £12 for the tube.....waste of money!

Anti-Brand

Inspired by the Make-up Brand recommendations thread
here i am with the 'Anti'....

 Are there any Brands that just do not go with you....
other people like em but just doesn't make it with you?

Here's the spot for your 'Anti-Brand recommendations'

Mine are:

Neutrogena - everything - at worst i get a horrid reaction - at best the product doesn't work or i don't like the smell.

Calvin Klein - fragrances - i get a massive headache and somehow it makes me get angry and feel like punching someone - i love the scent of some of the perfumes/colognes - but they literally make me sick (in the head - hahaha). :furious:

Garnier Fructis - blessed me with dandruff. :ninja:

Clinique, horrible, although most people agree..

I'm like that with Jean-Paul Gaultier scents

Pretty much any cheap brand bar maybe 1, has crappy eyeshadows.
I hate estee lauder foundation for the most part.

Lush products, which have become very trendy here. I went into their store and nearly passed out...
