Drinking

In college I drank like a sailor and a couple times I had what I thought were near death hangovers. Now that I'm out of college I sometimes feel like I have the drinking and hangovers in control...but other times not. I guess i"M still working on it.

I did find that drinking 2 large bottles of water and taking 'greens' supplements saved me from a hangover after a large party this halloween. Typically my friends would be all ready for greasy food the day after drinking and I would not be albe to eat or get out of bed. But the combination of water and greens seemed to help the next day.

I hardly drink because drinking too much alcohol damages the brain....seriously.....but when I do drink I like frozen daquiris(sp?) either strawberry or mango....which is like once every 3-4 months I have one or two frozen daquiris....:P

I found this from alcoholism.about.com:
Brain damage is a common and potentially severe consequence of long-term, heavy alcohol consumption. Even mild-to-moderate drinking can adversely affect cognitive functioning.

Sorry if anyone gets angry by this post. I just want TFS people to be aware and careful...

I drink quite a bit, but I have a pretty high tolerance, so it takes a lot to get me drunk. The only time I ever get hungover is if I drink Champagne. I never get hungover from just drinking beer or alcohol (usually vodka) and I usually only drink (red) wine with dinner, so the food helps it absorb and all...

id hate to admit it, but its soooo true im quite a heavy drinker, every weekend and i can easily say that my memory messed around with. And its not when i go out and i have a couple that i forget, its actually when im sober a bit scary cause im 20! But otherwise back on the hangover topic, i find the best thing to do is not drink cheap wine or champagne and have plenty of water before you go to bed. Likewise, if you can feel the hangover already coming over you before bed, have a headache table before you go to sleep. It was on a tv programme a few months ago and truly works!
