I would be too^^ I love Björk :)
omgspicegirls, i really like that picture of edie too. What i think is strange is that even tho she was wearing so much make up it in a way seem very natural like it was a part of her. And that is what i didn't like so much about Sienna Miller in Factory Girl, she always seemd very painted and it looked strange on her..

You are right loonaka....Edie looks natural even with Silver hair....she just had "IT"....Sienna fails in comparison!!

Edie always seemed comfortable no matter what she wore. She looked good in everything it seems! She was also very good with make-up so i think that helped. Sometimes i see people wearing false eyelashes and theyre coming off and they look so akward! Like Sienna....

She truly does look very natural, very very lovely.
I have yet to see Factory Girl. I have a feeling it wont come to Iceland.
I wanted to see how bad it is!

I just checked the Edie petition and anonymous person wrote this:

this is a HORRIBLE idea. It'll throw the Edie mystique out of the window, these movies should be seen and only seen in the theater! these little girls that want this, will move on from Edie to something else. PLEASE DO THAT FAST, and give Edie back to the real fans.

yeah i know it's totally the Edie factor, but still..how to look like you're not wearing make up when you have eyelashes like bat wings and purple and green eyeshadow... I just don't get it, it's fab but i don't get it. Maybe it's the silver hair..

No apparently we are just little girls that will soon no longer have any interest in Edie . :(

where did you find factory girl online??
ive been looking everywhere!

Factory Girl is coming out on DVD in June.I think I heard exactly June 19th,at least in America.
I don't think Edie's movies should come out on dvd...I think seeing them only at the Warhol Museum is the best idea,or special college/theatre showings.Factory Girl has already done enough damage to Edie as I can tell-but I still haven't seen it.

But her movies hardly ever play anywhere. I think it would be wonderful for everyone to see Edie and see why she's special. I would be happy if Edie's movies played at a theater near me but i don't think they will. I thinka dvd box set is more realistic. I can see why people would think it would take away her mystique but i've been a fan of Edie for so long that i'm DYING to see her movies! I don't think that it would change how i feel about Edie if i saw them, if anything i'd be even more in love!

exactly!
I want to see her movies but clearly they will never be shown in theaters here and I cant really fly out to the US whenever I feel like watching Edie.

does anybody have a link to the audio file of edie speaking with andy about movie making? i think it was posted a long time ago...

The NERVE.

If Edie had any 'mystique' to her it's gone now thanks to Factory Girl. There's no use being elitist and assuming that all Edie fans signing the petition are 'little girls who will move onto something else' -- it's just ignorant.

So many people all over the world are real Edie fans and have no way of ever seeing her films and I think that is unfair. Being so protective is ridiculous and selfish.

I think Edie would want us to see her films. Even if she felt Andy exploited her in them, we understand her true beauty and persona, so it doesn't matter. We have so many pictures, couldn't one say the same thing? Like, "stop releasing all these pictures your taking away the mystery!" Ignorant is right!

oh God that make me angry! who the hell wrote that? and we´re not real Edie fans? oh God...
why did the person even sign the petition then?
anyway, I deleted that signature.

Little Tiny: there are loads of people that will never have the possibility to go to the Andy Warhol museum and see the movies.

Just because people can´t do that, it doesn´t mean they are no real Edie fans.

Yeah i agre with you fairyx, and also i don't think many ppl that aren't Edie or Andy fans will buy and see these films anyway...

Oh sh*t I'd read the book as a teenager and was completely blown away. The biography by Jean Stein was awesome it truly defined the entire 60s generation. Edie was an ICON the 60s will always be a fascination and no one since had matched her beauty or aura.

I can't believe somebody would say that! How terrible. Some Edie fans live so far from the theatres that show Edie films, so it's so elitist to say that they should only be shown in theatres! I doubt if these films ever come to DVD, they'll be widely available anyways, so I'm sure only the true Edie fans would buy it!

I think it'd be awesome if they were in a really cool boxed set, something like a Criterion Collection release - just something really special, expensive, and well put-together. ^_^

Oh my goodness, yall....I have steam coming out of my ears right now. Whoever wrote that (about the petition) is just trying to bring our spirit down. And it shouldn't. We ARE the real Edie fans......We have differences in opinions but we have stayed together as a community of people who love and respect Edie. To me, letting the Warhol Museum have control over Edie is NOT what she would have wanted. (Just my guess) And I agree with Nel16, Factory Girl killed the mystique of Edie. Hollywood screwed her and we want the world to see who Edie really was and what made her so special!!!! Keep your sprirts up yall, don't let one A**HOLE bring us down!!!!From the book "Edie, Girl on Fire" by David Weisman and Melissa Painter.

By the way....HOW MANY OF US ARE LITTLE GIRLS????? I wish...but not anymore.....what a jerk.

I always had a feeling most of us "regulars" to this thread are on the "older" side*. I wonder how accurate that is?

So, how old is everyone, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm 21, soon to be 22.

*and by older side, I mean older than teenagers.
