i do wonder what happened to her things when she died. most of her clothes i mean, and other trinkets. do you think her husband has it?..

I think I read somewhere or Liberty Bell (a member on here, and cousin of Edie's) said that a great many of her things were given to Goodwill/The Salvation Army.

Liberty Bell is Edie's niece not cousin. She said somewhere that they gave most of her clothes away but the family and Edie's husband kept her paintings. I think she also said she personally kept one of Edie's rings. I have a feeling Edie didn't have a lot of stuff, she doesn't seem like the type of person to hold on to things for very long, she doesn't seem very sentimental.

This book looks interesting:

not Edie, but her cousin Rosamund Pinchot, who seem to have been a lot like Edie.
yeah it look really interesting. Thanks for posting the link^_^

And for Edie's stuff I actually think she had loads, I've read she loved shopping and always got every color of what she liked. But yeah, loads of her stuff got stolen so I have no idea of how much of her belongings that was left when she died..

Wouldn't it be fabulous to find a second hand shop that still had some of Edie's things!!!??!!

Edie said in "Edie Speaks", that a lot of her designer clothes were stolen by druggies. Sad....I bet she had AMAZING things!!!

Yeah I think she had fab stuff too...She had an amazing style even tho she used simple pieces to put her outfits together

That's so weird that you posted that fairyx! My sister works in a book store and when they get a shipment if there's a damaged book she can keep them and yesterday she called me and said "i have a book you can have about Edie's cousin" so she's sending it to me. :) I didn't really know who she was talking about but now i'm excited because it looks really good. Isn't she Edie's fathers cousin, the one he was afraid Edie would end up like?

wow, what a coincidence! :D

let´s see now.. I googled this, and Rosamund´s mother was Gertrude Minturn, sister to Sarah May Minturn, who married Henry Dwight Sedgwick, and was Edie´s grandparents on her fathers side.
so that would make it that Rosamund was Edie´s grandfathers cousin.

I think... I´m too tired for this now ^_^

Oops! My apologies for getting that wrong.

I remember reading about her in Jean Stein's book.

It seems Edie's family was full of tragedy. Her poor brothers, too.

I so wish there were more vids of Edie dancing, I know I've said it before but I so want to learn how to dance the Sedgwick^^

There is a book called "Life Inside" by Mindy Lewis on amazon.com. It is about her time as a teenager in a mental institution in the 60's.

I found an excerpt about Edie that makes me want to read it!

"One day a real celebrity arrives. Edie Sedgwick, AndyWarhol's superstar, famous for her poor-little-rich-girl presence in his films. ..." (starts on page 153)

This is after Edie is out of the Factory. She goes on to talk about befriending Edie while she was there. Edie is not there long (she gets sent to another hospital) but the few pages I read were very interesting....a good read!
