This movie is doomed. Because it's Hollywood, I just know they'll play up the drugs and sex, when they should focus on Edie's sad upbringing and all the tragedy in her life.
Don't feel stupid, I actually wondered the same thing.sexylittleme said:though when she was dancing, if u'd call it that, in ciao, it was not a good sight, but my guess is that's how they danced, esp if they were f*cked up on a lot of drugs. kind of weird though. it the opposite of sexual when i see it. jerky movements, odd twists and turns, swaying to the music, but seemingly more drug induced than rhythm. anybody else think this or know if that was the actual style of dancing? kind of a stupid question, but i'm curious
I read somewhere that Edie was a really great dancer (and David Weisman says she was a 'natural' dancer on the Ciao! commentary) but that even her friends thought she danced rather odd. They called it doing The Sedgwick so I guess she just danced weird or shall I say, to her own drummer? Oh yeah, and I do think people just danced a little jerky back then but Edie's dancing in that scene in Ciao! was way out there and it looks like a bit druggy.
