I don´t know about anyone else of the "old" people reading/writing in this thread, but I´m getting a little bored by this thread. there´s nothing new to discover anymore.
there is only new people writing things/posting pics that we have all read/seen and discussed many times.

all you newer persons should go through the whole thread before writing something, there is so so much info about our wonderful Edie, that you will learn alot!

anyway, can anyone translate Veronica Antico´s Edie S?

I agree about the bored bit. There really isn't that much new being discussed. :unsure: But I have a feeling this will change when the "Girl on Fire" documentary is released, don't you think? With new material comes new discussion, just how when the two recent Edie books were released, there was so much discussion. ^_^

ive seen it and IMO it was nothing special. it was about 15 minutes long with a courtney love song playing in the background, she just talked a bit about being raped by someone at a party who got her drunk and it was very, very depressing.

we´re not talking about the same movie here... what you mean, is the ciao manhattan tapes, which used to be on a website called girl on fire.

the girl on fire movie, that we are talking about, is a documentary about Edie that hasn´t been finished yet.
it´s David Weisman and Melissa Painter that are making this documentary, the same people who made the book Edie: Girl On Fire, which was released in the end of last year.

Yeah i agree with you, i'm pretty new here myself, but i feel that all the lates pics that have been posted here are reposts and it's a bit sad that there's nothing new to talk about but i hope we will get some new stuff to talk about soon.

But i can kinda understand why there are so many reposts and stuff, since it's much nicer to be able to respond and comment when there's a disscusion and not just read what other ppl have written :D

Anyway, i'm reading my edie book again, i just love to read about her life

Well, what do you expect? There is only so many pictures and stuff to discuss about someone who died almost 40 years ago. And I don't know if anyone really wants to go through all 194 pages of this thread. Sorry, I hope I don't sound rude.
 
Well, i think she was just saying that it's annoying when people ask questions about things that have already been discussed earlier in the thread or repost things that have been posted already more than once. And 194 pages isn't really that much and there's so much to read and look at it will go by very fast.

I am SO excited about the documentary! But what ever happened to girlonfire.com releasing new pictures and video clips and news every week?
 
Yeah, good question! I know they must have tons of photos that haven't been released yet. :doh: I hope they do that!

I went through all the pages that was here when I discovered this thread.

did you even know that her real niece, writing in here as Liberty Bell, has been writing down her own experiences of Edie, posting her own private pictures of her?
things like that makes it really worth going through all pages...

Of course I know, and I personally have gone through the entire thread. I'm not talking about myself here though, I'm talking about others - not everyone has the time to go through that many pages, whether or not it's a big amount to you. I'm not trying to fight with you at all, I just feel for other Edie fans who have busy lives that get lashings for posting something that's already been seen... they're trying to share something with other fans, so I think it's generous of them rather than "annoying" to make sure we've seen it.

Also, for someone who HAS gone through the entire thread, it's still hard to remember everything that's been posted so it's nice to be reminded of things and rediscover them. Edie stuff is going to get reposted all the time, not just at TFS, everywhere, so the best thing is just to enjoy it or ignore it. These are my feelings anyway, and I say these things because I don't want anyone to feel unwelcome or unappreciated in this most fabulous thread, so I hope you're not offended. :flower:

And by the way, that Jack Kerouac quote does in fact really remind me of Edie, I have it written everywhere, so it's really strange you chose to post it, julesrules815. I love it
