Elegant Gothic Lolita

all of the pictures posted are from www.avantgauche.co.uk. I would love to get a copy of the Gothic and Lolita Bible!

Where do you live? JapanCentre in London sells them. That's where I get mine, though I buy Kera magazine more though, it's got lots of GL and other street styles from Japan in there. Best of all worlds.

Wish I could read Japanese. Shame there's not a lot of Japanese courses around as it would make reading the magazines and websites much easier.

No, I don't live in London.:( I would like to take Japanese lessons too! :flower:

I LOVE EGL clothing! In my city we actually have a big group of girls that get dressed up and go out together, and it's always so much fun. I'm surprised that many people come up to us just out of curiosity to see why we're dressed that way-and when we explain it to them they always seem to think it's really cool!

It's so hard to get EGL clothes though-unless you're a good seamstress or you have lots of money to burn.

Yeah, I hate that the clothes are so expensive!

some of these clothes are more 'lolita' than 'elegant gothic lolita', but it is still lolita I guess.

thank you for the new pics and reviving the thread, phantasmagoric:heart: they're wonderful, especially the white dresses

i have a friend who always likes to shop for them. i think she's said it's cheaper to buy used online (like $150+ rather than new, which is like $300+)--she goes through yahoo auctions usually

No problem gius. I'm still uploading more pics!:p :D Thanks for the yahoo tip. I'm resisting the urge to splurge on a dress right now because I am bankrupt:doh:

I'm dying for a pair of shoes from Baby, the Stars Shine Bright, but all the sizes/styles/colors I want are sold out.

I missed out on a gorgeous pair of boots last year, as well...

 I love Baby the Stars Shine Bright! Oh, I hope you have better luck getting boots Jennifer! I wish Santa would stuff all these shoes and dresses under my tree:woot: :p

Does anyone remember a japanese Mook called ROCOCO I have vol.1 & 2 but never heard of it again!???

:woot:  People actually dress like this as normal wear?! I am so behind this Japanese wave because I have boxes full of clothes like these I was going to throw out/donate...personally I find the style to be :yuk: but I suppose I can sell them on ebay then! haha

I thought this trend was allready dead and buried...But there are lots of beautiful things on phantasmagoric's posts!!!

I'm not so much keen on the Gothic side, but I love the Lolita look.

My gf works at a Harajuku clothing store in Singapore and she has to wear a lolita dress. :) So pretty.
