Well...I read on fashionweekdaily.com back in Feb that Gilles Bensimon had been moved into an office 1/2 the size of his previous one & his day-to-day duties were dwindlingJoe Zee will style the June cover & his 1st full issue will debut in September.

So, I guess that the Joe Zee influence has started to creep in. Now I can't wait to see what he does for the September issue, hopefully he'll turn the magazine into something worthwile since it's fallen way behind the other 3 big US titles in terms of fashion influence. It almost didn't have any anymore or atleast about as much as Glamour and Cosmo because it certainly wasn't even at the level of Allure in terms of edits.

Mandy looks spectacular!! It's been awhile since Elle had such a sexy cover, but they still like their text . Typical that an great looking issue would come out just as I gave up on the magazine and did not renew my subscription. I guess I will have to buy this issue

This cover reminds me a little of the US Elle of yesteryear - the one that emphasised athletic bodies, sexy-yet-wearable swimsuits and great outdoor locations. I have high hopes for improved content too.

Bought this issue - there seemed to be a bit more life in the magazine this month, a greater variety of articles, though the fashion spreads are still a bit unmemorable. I look forward to seeing where the new direction takes things.
