US Elle July 2007 : Kelly Clarkson

Regarding Kelly Clarkson: Frankly, it depresses me that this is a girl who has worked so hard to stand out and be her own person, yet she is still made up to look just like everyone else. I suppose that is what she was signing up for by agreeing to be on the cover of Elle, but this just doesn't seem to suit her image.

There is one editorial with a model (Carmen Maria at Women Management). I'll scan it right now. :)

All these obnoxious colors all over again? I mean they look great in editorials but try wearing them on the street.

Whoever said Kelly Clarkson isnt fashion mag. material, I agree.

Rhianna's spread though looks hot. Wish she had been on the cover.

it doesnt look like a bensimon work....i see a lot of joe zee there....

Rihanna should have had the cover. She is hotter than hot right now and her looks are much more modelesque that Kelly's.

and the shoot they did for her is so high fashion, could have been a banging cover too.

I agree, I like Kelly's music, but I don't think she was the right choice for the cover. She's kind of having a melt down right now apparently too, with the whole tour cancelling, and manager firing.

Rihanna would've definitely made a better choice IMO ^_^ ...But I am still VERY thankfull Fergie did not make it :ninja::ninja::ninja:

To be honest, I wouldn't have enjoyed seeing Rihanna on the cover. I don't know; I've never really liked her music or her much.

Sorry if it's a bit late, but if anyone has any requests, ask me!

Got this at the weekend - I felt the editorials were rather weak, but I liked the articles about emotional relationships (always with a unique perspective from the writers) and a lot of the front-of-book fashion.

But I do get the sense that this magazine is in a state of limbo until the big Zee lift-off in September.
