According to her Twitter, Emmy did a shoot with Elle on Monday. I don't know if it was for a cover or just a feature though. Hope for a cover!

I'm surprised she agreed to appear in Elle again. The January 2005 issue seemed to create a lot of backlash - a general opinion of her being very self-absorbed. Most "hate" websites I've come across use this article as their main source of vitriol. I believe Emmy later commented that the article wasn't a true representation of herself.

As much as I like Emmy, I have to say that this article didn't portray her in the best light. She usually comes across as quite pleasant and humble in video interviews - maybe something got lost in the translation to print.

At any rate, it's nice to see her getting more press, and I look forward to catching Shameless in January.

I agree she doesn't come off well in the article and I also remember her saying that she was misrepresented in it. She doesn't come off like that elsewhere though (other interviews, her blogs, her twitter).

It sucks that a bad interview can follow a celeb around like that. But I suppose she figured that it's been 6 years so no reason to hold a grudge. She's also more experienced at giving interviews now, whereas back then she was 18 and just coming to public attention. So there's no reason to expect a repeat.

I think I'm going to like her new show Shameless. It looks like a very raw, authentic performance from the previews and she could net herself an emmy nomination.

I started to respect her more when she released her totally unconventional album. Most actresses go for straight pop so I appreciate her attempt to stay true to herself even though I didn't actually care for her music.
