ooh, i've never seen that Oscars pic. i'm DYING to get my hands on a look-alike Oscars gown for my homecoming dance. but i'm waiting for the price to go down before i ask my mom if i can get it.

Allen Schwartz remade Emmy's dress for sale. It also comes in burgundy, more like the color she wore. It sells at $320, but I have seen another one while searching for prom dresses that is a hot pink color for less. I like the German PotO dress. It's real pretty. Same with Critics Choice awards. Those two gowns are my favourite.

I think The Phantom of the Opera really shows off what she can do. it's also her 1st starring role. The Day After Tomorrow was OK. Emmy played Jake Gyllenhaal's love interst, and they were both pretty good, but the movie itself was just OK. In Mystic River she played Sean Penn's daughter, who is murdered at the begining of the film (the plot focuses largely on the search for her killer), and the rest of her scene are flashbacks. It's a very good movie overall with some GREAT performances especially by Sean Penn and Tim Robbins, but Emmy's part is pretty small. Those are her best known film, but she's done a lot of indies. Youy might be able to find Songcatcher without too much dificulty. It's a very good movie about a music professor who travels a remote mountain region to visit her sister and discovers that the mountain people have a wealth of undiscovered socttish irish ballads (it more interesting than it sounds!). Emmy was only about 13 or so in this film, and she plays an orphaned girl. Passionada is also not to hard to find. It's a sweet romance and Emmy plays a modercycle riding rebel. She's done several other films that are harder to come by, but I'd recommend starting with The Phantom of the Opera or The Day After Tommorow. They're the easiest to find, and probaby her most mainstream roles. I think she's a very good actress and she has a lot of potential. It'll be interesting to see what she does in the future.

Actually there weren't any flashbacks when I watched Mystic River. She died and that was the end of it. Maybe there's something wrong with the aussie dvd.

When the killer/killers were explaining what happened, and when the cops investigated there were flashbacks of her dancing on the table at the bar, a few of her kissing her father goodbye, that stuff. That wasn't on the Aussie DVD?

No, not really, you see her in the ditch when the cops find her, and I think you see a little running in a flashback, but that's it.

no running flashback. Only the other ones. And yes I did see her in the ditch when the cops found her. That looked comfortable!

It was a good movie though. I want her hair. I'm going to get a perm cause I want curly hair, I've always wanted curly hair. Some people get all the fun. *scowls*

^^LOL! I'd hold off on the perm until you see what you'd look like with curly hair. I once put on this cury wig and I looked like a clown.
