Erin Fetherston For Target

If you look at Erin's collection the way they work it up on the model instead on concentrating on individual pieces that can be worked into your wardrobe with other items you already own - it will throw you!

A lot of us are looking at the individual pieces. The red satin suspender thingy? The gigantic heart bag? The heart covered "pajamas" or whatever they are? A babydoll dress with a BIB? how literal can one be in interpreting the babydoll look? Whether on the model or viewed individually a lot of these pieces look a bit cheeky and ridiculous to be "worked into" an existing wardrobe unless of course your wardrobe is cheeky and somewhat juvenile to start.

that's where creativity comes in

I'll never quit wearing babydoll dresses; you see, I've promised myself that if I ever eat those words, I'll go Courtney Love circa 1997 and wear Donatella as tradeoff... :innocent:

you never spoke on the pieces I highlighted a couple of messages up, and pajamas are just that "pajamas". I don't think erin's collection is anymore babydollish than betsey johnson's spring/summer '07 collection (which I loved by the way)

i dont think i ever outgrew liking courtney love's babydoll phase....i think thats why the collection appeals to me.

wow, I have absolutely no clue how I feel about this. I loved Luella & Tara, but tinkered off until now for the Libertine's upocomingness. I love the designer after Libertine [can't remember who :x]... but this one is just. Suprising. I'm not sure if I, at 14, have enough coolness to pull this off. But- it's out there. I think I like it.

I do wish Betsey Johnson [erm, even though she's not "big time" enough] would do one. It would make me ever so happy. I just spent 400 dollars [40 hours of BABYSITTING] on her beautiful dress.

I'm in my early 40s and I like this collection. I'm a real girly-girl, so this collection appeals to me. Now, of course, I'm not crazy. I see some "key / usable" pieces I can add to my warerobe. I can pair these with basic separates I already have to add some "pop" or interest.

I'm seriously thinking about getting the creme bubble coat and the 3/4 black wool heart pocket coat. The Gauze Ruffle-Front Blouse in White, Short-Sleeve Dotted Swiss Tie-Front Tunic in Black (I can rock that with these great wide-leg trouser I have or a pencil skirt), Ruffle-Front Shirt in Cream and the Jacquard Bow Jacket in Black.

Those are the pieces I found, that I thought could work for my age group.

I think these are great choices, I love that ivory coat myself. And that cream top with the black buttons could be fabulous if done right.

i really like the ivory coat
i can't wait for this to come out so i can try it on!

i'm wondering how thick it is though..
and if the thickness will work with the season in Boston when it finally comes out..
looks more like an autumnal sort of weight...
so i'm hoping that this comes out soon enough to get some wear out of something like that without having to layer another coat over it...

I didn't even think of that. Coats are almost worthless in fall/winter if they're not thick!

Ok, I had a black giant heart bag that looks similar to the red one that I bought in NYC a couple of years ago. I loved that thing! I'm more of a dark, gothy dresser so I can't do the red but it would be cute on the right person.

im starting to like the red bag more and more! now i want and think it could be OK for using in NYC (maybe not my city so much) the bag also comes in cream.

the cream colored bag is definitely a lot more subtle :p

im hoping the bag also comes in black! that would be very gothic lolita-ish if it did!:D
