In fact i've meet her..
She's sweet..
Her line is very fantasy...
Some of her handbags for the line are
heart shaped and i thought they were juvenile...
The dresses were cute..
It was perfect for Target..

;)

there's alot left at my local Target and they have signs "Go! ing soon"

I didn't think it came out until November 18th? I hope it doesn't b/c I'm definitely gonna go check it out, although I've been disappointed with the fabrics and quality of the other "designer" stuff in the past.

SEVEN QUESTIONS FOR ... a fashion designer
Erin Fetherston
AGE: 26
JOB: Fashion designer with a new line for Target debuting Nov. 18
HOURS/WEEK: 75 to 85
TIME ON THE JOB: 3 1/2 years
You debuted your first collection in the winter of 2005 in Paris, and roughly three years later you're launching a line at Target. Are you prepared to be a household name?
I think that moment is going to hit when I see people walking down the street in the clothes I've made for Target. The clothes aren't out until Nov. 18, but some samples have leaked onto the street and I'm starting to get messages like, 'I just saw your heart purse walking down the street.' That feels pretty amazing!
Do you have a favorite item?
There are so many! If you can only buy one thing, I'd say get the coats. They look just like my collection.
Your style is described as flirty, frothy and feminine. If you could dress anyone, who would it be?
I would really love to see Mia Farrow or Marianne Faithfull in an Erin Fetherston dress. I did a short film for one of my collections which Kirsten Dunst stars in. That was pretty amazing because I always feel that she's sort of the ultimate embodiment of the Erin Fetherston spirit.
It's a notoriously hard industry to break through in. Did you meet any stumbling blocks along the way?
It has been really challenging. I worked even more hours in the beginning when I was on my own. Difficult things come up; sometimes you luck out or sometimes you get the support of someone who's really meaningful and can help make a difference.
What was the most valuable part of your training?
The best thing I learned from school was pattern-making and also the discipline of having a really comprehensive vision. It's not just about that one really great dress anymore.
What's your daily routine like?
Well, I'm still in the process of moving from Paris to New York, so I've unexpectedly been living in my office. I wish I could design all day long, but I spend the morning making sure the business is running. Right now, I'm choosing all my fabrics for fall 2008, so I'm having meetings with different fabric mills. I always reserve after-hours time to do designs. That's my special time.
What's making you move back to New York?
When I finished my studies at Parsons in Paris, I just kind of started making clothes and it turned into a collection. I already had my showroom here and I do my production here, so it made more sense to consolidate everything - and New York is a pretty exciting place to be for a young designer. There's so much support, it's pretty awesome.

I'll admit it, I do like that silk dress, but I'm just worried over the sizing. Target is notorious for strange fits, and I have a feeling this will be no exception.

That being said, the piece looks really nice on Erin!

That video made me a little scared...haha

The red dress was cute in the clip, also I like the heart bag, but probably will not get it, and I kind of like the black bib dress, I could see myself wearing it to a "theme" party at my college

Thanks for all the pictures, Lucy! :flower:

The HQ pictures are finally available in the Target Pressroom.

I can't wait to see the coats in person. The Alice Temperley line was disappointing so I hope this will be better! :D

I was just at Target and they had so much Fetherston stuff out already! I was just there to buy some boxes but took a careful look through and tried some things on...everything just looked really costumey and little girl-y to me though. I tried on a silver pinafore pleated skirt thing that could have been cute but the size 1 was huge at the waist, this weird bunny print thermal top (also had leggings in the same print and in gray), a semi-cute but not for $45 cream babydoll dress, and then a navy blue jersey minidress with heart detail straps and velvet trim. Maybe it's just me, but all the corduroy and velvet just took me back to things I would have lusted after in middle school or something. I didn't end up actually getting anything since nothing made me maniacally want it. Oh well. Maybe some cute things will come out in the second run? I'll try to go back and take some pics sometime this week.
